Great Mexican food, very friendly staff. Good brunch menu.
By far the best Mexican food in the area. Always fresh, always authentic and incredibly creative. The staff are knowledgeable about the menu and you literally can't go wrong with anything on the menu. My absolute favorites are the tacos. They are all excellent, but the fish tacos are sublime. Yes, I said it: sublime. Trust me, if you go once, you'll become addicted.
Great food, awesome staff. Must try the fish tacos and the enchiladas!! I've never had a tastier salad than the chop chop here. I could put that jalapeno mint dressing on a shoe and it'd taste good. Ugh and don't even get me started on the dessert. So good
I was real satisfied with Gallitos! Also, cool name and a good way to practice my "ll" pronunciations.
They've got a clean, good-looking space with a number of tables. When I went around 2 or 3 they were empty!
The food is quite good. Among the better burritos I've had. They've got gooey cheese and the Spanish rice is flavorful rather than plain.
The employees are kind and pleasant to deal with. I got pickup and the wait wasn't bad at all.
Filled the craving for Mexican food flavor. Reasonable prices for Montague st. We stuck to the appetizer page of the menu (definitely sharable plates) and got out for $30 bucks. Chipotle sweet plantains were amazing! The ceviche was a huge bowl FILLED with nice big shrimp, the chicken nachos had great flavor and were filling. The salsa...no real spice but it fulfills the cravings if you have them. Not too busy even around dinner time, $6 beers, relaxed atmosphere...Definitely going back for brunch!
This resturants is a great addition to Brooklyn Heights. The food is delicious, the staff is very nice and the prices are affordable. We love the very yummy tacos that are small and tastey with fresh ingredients. The sangria is refreshing and also good. You never feel rushed when you go here. This is a family-owned restaurant and the kind of dining establishment we need more of in Brooklyn Heights!
I've been here several times and have always left satisfied. Every time I've come here, it's always busy but the service I receive is always prompt and they're all friendly enough. Those who've complained about slow service but fail to acknowledge they're sitting in a popular restaurant with all tables occupied should just take their asses to McDonald's on Court St. The food is definitely worth the wait.
I love the salsa and chips! They gave my party a second helping free which was incredibly generous considering I've never been to a Mexican restaurant that did that. The drinks are reasonable, and the chicken quesadilla is my favorite thing in the menu, but I just wish it wasn't so oily! I understand that food spilling out of your tortilla(s) is inevitable, but oil dripping everywhere isn't. Also, I recommend the tacos as an appetizer. I don't know why anyone would think to order two or three tacos as a meal, lol. Maybe I'm a pig. I'm not into desserts, but their tres leches was delicious and I would order it again and again and again!
I really enjoyed my meal here and will be back. The chicken was my favorite of the tacos, though the al pastor was a close second. Skirt steak had a nice crisp to it with a tasty chimichurri sauce. Nothing super fancy, moderately priced for the neighborhood ($3 tacos, $20 mains), attentive service.
Just had lunch here with friends. Got a huge bowl of rice and delicious shrimp. Very good. All the food looked great and everyone loved it. Couldn't eat it all. Big portions. 3 meals for $40. 👍🏻👍🏻
This is a very pretty Mexican restaurant. The wait staff is very nice and helpful. They brought over water along with chips and salsa, as soon as I sat down. I ordered the empanadas, which were delicious. The waiter suggested a drink with tomato juice and soda. He told me, if I ordered it and did not like it, he would take it back. I did not like it. The empanadas were delicious . There were 3 empanadas filled with plantains, black beans, and onions; served with a spicy guacamole. There were very light, not greasy. Like pillars of plantains with guacamole. I did not order the guacamole but the people at the next table did. It was a large portion and it looked delish. They inhaled it within a few minutes. I ordered a light Mexican beer, which went well with the spicy Mexican food. I then ordered a shrimp quesadilla . It was a large quesadilla generously filled with medium size shrimp smothered with a blend of melted cheese. There was a scoop in the middle of the plate filled with shredded lettuce, guacamole, sour cream, and salsa. It was really good. I would go back. See my attached pictures. Prices are reasonable. They do not have a happy hour but there were dinner specials, which sounded really good.
