I'm so upset yelp doesn't have six stars because this is the best ice cream place in the world. I've been to just about every country I'm very well-traveled and by far this is the best ice cream I've ever had in my life.
The Persian ice cream is absolutely amazing but so is everything else, I always try something new and it's always been great.
Right off the bat, fantastic fresh made Matcha. I can't stress enough this is real matcha. Also great location! Super easy to get to. The pastries I ordered were be deliciously buttered & flakey. I ended up ordering way more than I originally intended. The only thing I didn't try was the cake options which all looked phenomenal, I'll definitely be coming back soon.
First time coming here was today and I was greeted by a very nice and helpful woman who gave me suggestions on what I would probably like based off the fact that I love matcha. Despite the fact that many pastry options had already sold out the one she suggested was INCREDIBLE! I forget what it was called but it had this amazing real matcha and red bean in the middle and it made my week! I can't wait to visit again to order the same as well as try another one of the pastries they serve 😍💝 I wish I had gotten the name of the woman working so I could thank her for her help and perfect suggestion!
Very good quality bakery. Their cakes are tasty and they have smaller bakery items which range from croissants to Japanese pastries. Everything seems fresh and service is fast and friendly.
Note that during COVID they limit the capacity to 4 people so a small line may form outside during busier hours.
We ordered a cake to celebrate our friend’s birthday. We called in a little late, right before noon, and they were able to have the cake ready by 2pm the same day! The staff are so so friendly, incredibly accommodating considering how late we called (it’s recommended you call 24hrs in advance~), and the cake was DELICIOUS. Not too sweet, but just the right amount of sweet and creaminess. The strawberries were very fresh and presentation was spot on. My husband also picked up some Totoro cream buns which were incredibly cute and very very yummy~ we will definitely be back for more! Thank you Japonaise Bakery for the great experience:)
I like this cozy bakery in Brookline. Their strawberry short cake is awesome and all other bread and pastries are yammy and fresh. Wish that they open everyday!!!
I cannot express how much I love this bakery. Across years, they’ve maintained their high quality and service. I usually factor in ambiance into my reviews, but honestly, their bread and pastries are so phenomenal, that the lack of seating and decor doesn’t bother me—I just take my giant orders to go. If you love bread, and if you like sweets that are appropriately sweet (not overwhelmingly), then this place is a must-try.
Always an excellent place to go to the Azukis are outstanding. The pastries overall there are just plain outstanding. Definitely worth the 40 mile trip it always is!
