Have loved this place since it opened years ago, I think in the 90s.
I especially enjoy the tasty Penne Fedora -- a creamy marinara sauce which I think is seasoned with rosemary.
Sometimes they offer tasty mashed potatoes, so I'll buy a side to go.
Absolutely love the pasta here. Simple, cheap, and delicious!
It serves home-style tuscan food at reasonable prices (~$9-13) for reasonable sized portions Meals are not the usual oversized restaurant plates, so if you're a big eater pick up an arancini or croqueta. Quick food, counter-service. They have added a few two-person tables outside on the sidewalk, which is great. They have a long bench table and some counter seats inside.

My favorite place to grab authentic Italian cuisine when I don't feel like traveling all the way to the North End! Their bread pudding is delicious! They also have a selection of Italian products for purchase along the wall.
Great place for a homey, no frills Italian meal. Great to find a corner eatery like this. Also, try their bread pudding...absolutely heavenly!

The man at the counter was very helpful in detailing the specials and in making recommendations based on what I was interested in. I ended up ordering the gnudi with sage butter. The pasta came with a slice of bread, which rounded out the plate for a satisfying lunch. In contrast to other reviewers, I thought the portion was just right.
The pasta itself was incredibly light and soft. The sage butter did a great job of complementing the spinach in the gnudi without overpowering or obscuring it. The cookie was perhaps softer than I was expecting, but the crumbly texture plus the chocolate, sprinkles, and jam made for a very satisfying post-pasta bite.
With a large Pellegrino, my meal came to just over $14, which I think is very fair considering the quality of the food. If I had one nit to pick, it would be that there were crumbs on the table from previous diners, but that was a very minor inconvenience. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu, particularly the desserts.
