Tried the food via Ubereats. It was pretty good but the jerk was a little too spicy however, the rice and peas was amazing. I ordered a medium Jerk lunch and they put 2 extra beef patties and johnny cake in my bag. That was a nice courtesy. Not sure if that happened because I ordered close to closing time but I appreciate the gesture. I’ll probably order again to try the oxtail
Delicious food. They have small oxtail. A lot of other jamaican restaurants don’t offer this. The menus move fast so learn to read fast.
A gem in the Bronx.
Very much a no frills, hole-in-the-wall traditional Jamaican restaurant. The owners are Jamaican and so was the clientele, which check two boxes on my authentic food meter. The service itself was a bit brusque, but remember you're not there to be wowed by customer service.
It took me awhile to decide between the jerk chicken and the oxtail; I eventually went with the chicken and was very happy with my choice. The serving was huge and it was the best jerk chicken I've had in NYC. Highly recommend. Can't wait to go back to try the oxtail.
The portions are great! I had a medium jerk chicken. It cane with lots of chicken and the rice had the perfect amount of gravy. The food is seasoned perfectly and everything was fresh. Definitely ordering again.
This was great! My coworker and I just ordered from grub hub and it was worth every penny! Sorry no photos but we are stuffed!! The fried dumplings are rocks though only downfall...
I've loved this place since opening day! The owner was an amazing staple to the neighborhood! I'm glad his family is carrying on his legacy...Great food! You really feel back home...I've had almost everything on the menu!

This place inspired my love of oxtail and authentic and flavorful Jamaican soups: red pea, chicken soup are the best. Hands down the best oxtail in the Bronx!!! Mr. Johnson is no-nonsense but he is a good man in the community.
