A work in progress, this Bangladeshi hangout spot for cab drivers and locals is one of my favorites for spice and flavor! If you're not Bangladeshi then there may be a slight language barrier and will end up asking a million questions, but luckily I will give you some tips!
I keep telling these guys to have a damn menu up on the walls with prices or special plate options so other English only locals can order quicker and cut the wait in half. But one major suggestion is to order half size food options as the portions are big. So ask for half rice, half meat and half veggie.
You can also just go for a quick snack with tons of options from Simosas, Singara to beef patties And chicken patties. All options under $5! My favorite is the long chicken patty sandwich which comes with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber and white sauce inside a fresh big piece of naan bread. Yum!
The food tasted amazing and I appreciated the large portions. I had the vegetarian lunch special, which was full of flavor and variety. Only downside is that the food was a little bit more expensive than I expected.
I am only giving 4 stars because of the price of the food, but other than that it would be 5.
Rice is fresh, beef curry was actually pretty tasty. Well balanced with spice and also salt, no gamey or greasy taste, and the chicken masala was bomb. Def good.
Normally when I eat here the food is home made and fairly fresh. They do have the dishes pre made and it can take some time but the service has been great and the food was usually delicious. Had some of their chicken, biriyani, samosa, and more.
I can understand the bad ratings but for what you get, the place is pretty nice, don’t expect anything fancy but I would recommend
This place has nice, spicy food just the way I like it. The prices are very reasonable and their chicken dishes are good, very good. Guessing their standard, I don't think you have to worry about bad food in this place. The spice level is not anything for a sensitive stomach though. I loved it and I will send some, well selected, friends of mine here.
Things are looking good under new management. Every day there are few new dishes as well as some light snacks.
The prices are reasonable, the portions are generous, the food is well seasoned. There are options for mild or spicy food at your request. I have only ordered online, so my experience is solely the food. This is a place worth checking out if you like Indian food.
Authentic Bengali-Indian fusion food. Great prices, a lot cleaner than previous management a couple of years ago. Their vegetables/vegetarian dishes are Great! All in all a delightful little spot in the north Bronx region, they're also available for delivery and Uber eats.
Outstanding!!!! The food are prepared fresh per your request and unbelievably delicious. One of the best spot to take friends or family for lunch or dinner. Very clean, courteous staff, great food, and reasonably priced. Tandoori chicken and chicken tikka masala is to die for. I will be ordering regularly from this place.
Great food good service the rice and the kebabs were delicious definitely recommended 👌
