Love their sourdough loaves and the scones! Super flaky and delicious! This place is small but always had a nice variety of bagels and other breakfast pastries as well as cake . If you’re craving a scone this is the place to go.
I hate how there’s actual people complaining. The coffee roast is delicious and their chocolate chip cookies are amazing. It’s definitely fresh as much as others try to say it isn’t or try to say that it’s store bought. In fact it’s ridiculous to think that their cookies are store bought since they’re very unique in size, let alone be sold at a local supermarket?&@? Anyways, I highly recommend this place, ignore the liars.. the young man and lady are very sweet to everyone. The price is just right for the quantity you get. It may seem like a lot until you see how big that $3.25 cookie is. The coffee is also in a large size so def understand why it’s $5. 10/10 and also the place looks very very fancy. Will be coming back soon!!
love this place, coffee is so good and nice people!
When I'm in the neighborhood I definitely must stop here for a toasted sesame bagel with butter. I don't know what kind of dough, butter or toaster they're using but it's always perfect. If it's in the budget I'll spring for cupcakes for the kids. Happy they have a decent bakery in the Bronx.
This place has an awesome variety of cakes and desserts as well as some really good coffee. The prices are a little expensive but not much different than the Starbucks up the block from it. I had a fudge brownie which was really good. The workers are very nice and you feel a warm welcome as soon as you enter.
The food is ALWAYS freshly made, tasty and the coffee is amazing. I love their coffee roast. Zaro's has been around for many years and it's fitting!
An institution of Parkchester that left and came back. It's smaller than the previous store, they don't have the pizza and soup just coffee products, bakery products and desserts. I've been here once so far, had the egg bagel with vegetable cream cheese and it was pretty good. The store is brand new so it still looks clean.
Zaro' Family Bakery provides top quality delights, and this specific one in Parkchester lives up to those expectations. The place itself has a good location, isn't usually very busy, and has very compliant, kind staff that are willing to help you. Their food is unique and can't be copied, especially their canolies, which I do recommend. The place is very clean and has fair buisness hours. Another detail to mention is that they usually have daily specials. The reason it is only 4 starts is because there isn't much seating and the place itself is a bit small, yet still nice, but not the best. As well, the selection I would say isn't very big. In conclusion, the resteraunt and its staff are of excellent quality and I would recommend this place to anyone, anyday.
(P.S.) Their prices may be a bit high, but it's well worth it.
They have very delicious choices and things are fresh. They just need to welcome all customers the same when one walks into the place. As of O6 - 2021 maybe before this date , they nolonger make the FABULOUS AS WELL AS TASTY , LOVELY PRUNE DANISH and or THE WONDERFUL FRUIT TARTS. I was told when I boldly asked, why are there none available , the disappointing answer was they do not sell much of them and they will not be coming back. I understand the business side of this and the financial loss. I do hope , that they would consider making a few of each, some of us that do appreciate the finer favorites of Zaro's at this Parkchester location would be very happy if you did this !!!!!!! Zaro's, would you please consider making a few of each ,you are very well known in the surroundings communities to make the most delicious Prune danishes and tasty fruit tarts.
Cheesecake here is top notch! It's a small location around the corner next to Boston Market!
