The food was fresh and well seasoned and the service was also great. Would return.

I recently moved to the neighborhood and decided to try out Rani's barbecue pit. It's clear that Rani takes pride in her food and has been a dedicated member of the community for over 24 years. She makes everything from scratch, including the samosas and empanadas. The veggie burger with spinach, lentils, and rice was a standout, and the turkey chili and meatloaf were also delicious. Rani and her team put a lot of effort and care into their food, and it shows in the unique flavors and spices used in their dishes. It's worth a trip from anywhere to try out Rani's barbecue pit! And don’t forget about the ribs and chicken in the corn bread.
In town for a gig called over to a neighborhood that had multiple eateries. This was the one I picked and I’m so glad I did. Food was pre-prepped but finished on the grill. I had the chicken and ribs platter the ribs come off the bone every time I try to take a bite. The ladies customer service was amazing. Even after we finished eating and sat outside she kept checking on us to make sure we were good and even one of the guys that she noticed that did not eat there she offered to get him some things off the menu you as well
Love the spare ribs and corn bread. Our family’s go to place. Service is also great. Highly recommended.
Tasty options all around and some amazing vegetarian options, especially for a barbeque shop.
The spicy eggplant and tofu entree is my all-time fave and I am very fond of the collard greens. The pulled pork is so yummy. Hubby has enjoyed the turkey meatloaf many times.
Samosas, biryani, quesadillas, wings, chicken/rib rack combos, fried chicken and many healthy options like grilled salmon/shrimp/catfish or chicken over a fresh mixed greens salad.
They also do party packages like 2 whole chickens, 2 whole racks of ribs, 30 buffalo wings, etc.
The food here is amazing. Especially ribs and bbq wings. First time for my father in law’s bday. Extra perk, the owner is wonderful and warm.

Ribs are tender and not dry, sweat potato was just right, mashed potato comes w gravy. you can ask for more bbq or hot sauce if u prefer; chips n salsa free appetizer; friendly service; oldies music; prices are good
Best in the city.... far better than any of the fancy schmancy BBQ joints. I'd confidently take any of my food connoisseur friends here to marvel over the marbled meat! No wonder this unassuming spot has outlasted most other establishments. Rani has been in business 24 years- she is the best in the business!!
Fabulous, absolutely fabulous. Favorites are: ribs, pulled pork, fried chicken, tandoori chicken, soups. Also try the empanadas and other starters.
The food is pretty amazing here and it's a great place for the whole family. And they have a wonderful menu selection and the prices are very one of a kind.
First of all, the Buffalo Wings here are so good! I’ve gone here and handful of times and always get wings.
With that said, my Riverdale friends don’t like ordering here because they say that the other food on the menu isn’t very good. The only other item that I’ve had on the menu is the “Crispy Roast Pork”.... it was fine.
Long story short: If you go to the Barbecue Pit, get the wings - they’re delish! Also, prepare for a wait. The food usually takes a while.
