Outstanding service, the food was excellent probably one of the best chicken wings I have ever had, crispy, fresh and really good seasoning. Great vibe and love the options of tab beer available. Can't wait to go back and try other dishes.
Great beer, great atmosphere, great bar staff. I love the burgers, wings, and the salads. Always good to go to a place on the weekends, where the bartender remembers my name.
An amazing local bar with simple but delicious bar food. Their thai wings are the best. The burgers are always juicy and the fries are always on point. Vivian is always friendly and welcoming. Makes me glad to come back over and over again and try new beers. Gun hill tavern is on my list of must stop for The Bronx.
Lovely, rustic, and warm. A delicious, and thoughtful, beer selection – that's designed around a core list of their brewery's own offerings. All rounded out by a menu of fairly classic tavern bites. I have yet to visit during a "peak" time, but I can only imagine it's equally charming then as well. Come here.
It was our last day and last meal in New York and we came here after a walking tour of the Bronx. Our tour guide recommended this place to us. The place is close to the subway, so it's easy to go back to Manhattan.
Our experience here was very positive. The girl was very nice and relaxed. The fries were lovely. My vegetarian sandwich was yummy. This was the cheapest meal we had the whole week. Great value for money! The girl didn't seem to expect a tip and tip was not added to our bill. We were surprised. After tipping for the whole week, we got used to it so we left a tip here, too, as the service & food was good and to support the Bronx local business.
I stopped in here with a friend one afternoon because we just so happened to be in the area and wanted to check the place out. We had a few beers and they had a $1 wing special, so of course we had to get some creamy buffalo and honey mustard wings to have with our beer. The bartender was pretty cool.
Great bar for beer drinkers. All of their beers are local craft beers made at their brewery and all ciders, wines and liquor are made in NY state. The bartenders are top notch and the food is great. Try the Tavern burger if you're really hungry.
Better than average food. The beer selection is great! Great live music to top it off. 4.5 if I could. Great night out!!
Gun Hill Tavern is definitely one of my favorite bars because its modern and upcoming! Who ever designed the interior deserves two thumbs up. I went in the winter but it looks like they can open the space and have outside seating.
The burgers are on point here as well as the burger selections. I can't wait to go back and try other items on the menu. The only issue with is the secluded location but it was a wise decision to invest in this location because I'm sure the property was on the cheaper side and this area is up and coming with other small businesses moving in.

Great place to grab a local craft beer and a burger. I like that you can make your own foot a reasonable price. Seasoned fries are awesome.
Bike friendly space with happy hour during the week and wings for Sunday football!
This place holds a warm place in my heart. My husband and I are always TIRED after work so going out isn't something we do often. But when we do... we come here🙌! On any random night and the atmosphere is always so chill. The food is great (if you like buffalo wings, this is the spot).
