Just a great place to visit and eat at. Some of the nicest folks you will meet. Hey, and the food was really good too. The property and sounding area is beautiful too. They are doing a great job too with COVID and helping to protect everyone. If you are in the area or just passing though make sure to stop in you will love it.
Very good meal in the small town of Boulder. Be ready to wait a bit, we waited nearly two hours on a weekday but wanted to try this place out. Everything we had was very good and unique. I never order meatloaf at a restaurant but had to try it since it was a seasonal offering of their local grass-fed meat and it was totally worth it.
The food was yummy, but my two oldest kids said on their entrees, "Mom, I like your recipe better." Call that a compliment to my wife's cooking or a dis on a place that charges a lot of money for meals that aren't all that spectacular. Don't get me wrong, the food was good, just not over the top great. And it was pricey, especially the kids meals. A bowl of noodles with just butter and a little bit of cheese or a plain queseldilla does not need to cost $11. The desserts were delicious, especially the gingerbread.
What a great restaurant. So many amazing dishes with ingredients grown on their land. The servers were super friendly and did not steer me wrong with their recommendations. This was well worth the drive!
My wife and daughter and myself came to Boulder, Utah to hike and spend some time away. We had heard about Hell's Backbone Grill & Farm. We decided to try it for dinner. They had very thoughtful COVID-19 protocols. We wore masks, they wore masks and had us wash our hands before we sat down outside on the patio. Very thoughtful, kind staff. Megan, our server was wonderful. The food was nothing like what you would expect in rural Utah. Certainly worth the trip and certainly a relaxing oasis after a hot day hiking. The pictures speak for themselves. The pickel tray was amazing. The meatloaf and garden vegetables were unlike I have ever had. If you're in the area, be sure to stop in.
Great food. Great location. Only suggestion would be to leave political signs/opinions out of the dining experience as people are likely there to relax and escape, not have an agenda pushed on them.
Truly a gem. The seasonal menu couldn’t reflect the locale any better. If farm to table wasn’t special enough, the flavors draw you closer to the wild spaces the farm and restaurant are surrounded by.
They’re doing an excellent job with social distancing and sanitation. The new deck addition is beautiful.
I recommend leaving not only with a full belly and heart but one of their special cookbooks. The flavors are never quite the same at home but the imagery and stories make them even more enjoyable.
