Food here was good and decor is really nice. Really enjoyed the mussels and the escargot in particular.
We had an issue with some of our food but the staff rectified it very well. The manager and staff were super apologetic and even gave us free desserts.
Would recommend.
Went here for brunch and got the Truffle Omelet. The Croque Madame here is also a good option. Everything we ordered for brunch tasted perfect. The food quality was excellent!
Salmon, Gin and Rosemary, and Creme Brulee. One of the best dinners! Nice atmosphere, knowledgeable and friendly staff. We will definitely return.
I arrived flustered and at the wrong time. They graciously seated us anyway. Food was exceptional. I found their menu descriptions under-described and the food was really very worthy. The service was friendly and flawless. Cocktails and wine were presented nicely. Deserts were very good.
Excellent French cuisine near the south end. Been to Aquitaine several times and have not been disappointed any of those times. The duck dishes are prepared really well, and there's a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating.
Their dessert selection is full of rich dishes. The chocolate mousse was a favourite of ours. The only thing I'll mention to watch out for is the wait time for food, in the evenings at least, can take a while. The prices are also indicative of a nice French restaurant.
Regardless, looking forward to coming back here soon!
It's definitely a busy restaurant, especially weekends. I enjoy their choices of sides with the main dish. I got the duck breast and even though I don't like poultry's breast meat, I enjoyed this a lot. It's savory, moist and with a hint of smoke. The peas is a nice pairing. The hanger steak (medium rare) was a bit too rare for my taste but the texture was really nice. The pate with truffle is really good and could be eaten by 2 people with their bread, butter and the pickled veggies.
Aquitaine is a good spot for a nice French dinner. We had the escargot, tuna tartare, tomato salad, mussels, two steak frites, and the burger. All were delicious. Service was friendly and efficient. My only suggestions are to turn on the air conditioning (it was hot inside) and to add more dessert options. Other than that, this was a solid meal in a pleasant atmosphere.
Big dinner at Aquitaine. Had the escargot and then the moulles frites. All washed down with the chateauneuf. Hurt the wallet but not my feelings so it's all good.
