I was greeted by a smiling host, and was quickly seated. I ordered takeout but at it there, and it was a nice experience. She got me real utensils and took away the takeout ones. The food was very good and the chicken was tender, the sauce was sweet but savory. Overall great place. I will definitely return.
Every item of food here is truly excellent, with large portions. The chicken was especially tender and delicious. Service was friendly and extremely attentive, but not intrusive, refilling our waters and delivering additional napkins without us even having to ask.
The only con is that the place is fairly cramped, so the staff and other diners may bump you a bit as they walk by. Definitely not a big deal though, relative to the general friendliness present here.
The service was superb! The server was very nice and gave me the menu with lots of pictures. I ordered a seafood mala bang that was moderately spicy. It was just right. I can eat pretty spicy and I think their spicy scale is appropriate (unlike some Thai restaurants...You order a mild spicy dish and next thing you know you turn into a dragon blowing up flames.) The dumplings appetizer was also good. I gave this place a four stars because I had a sense that the food is not entirely authentic. I came all the way from San Diego and this place was advertised as Szechuan authentic restaurant. I would appreciate if the menu would indicate which dishes are particularly *authentic*. :)
A hidden gem inside an unusual food court entrance.
My family and I were a bit skeptical entering the restaurant as it is found at the bottom of a dark staircase in a sort of food court entrance. But surprisingly, it opens up into a spacious, bright, and clean restaurant (which is a nice find since most restaurants are small and cramped in the area).
If you’re just curious, definitely try their weekday lunch special. 3x smaller-sized entrees to try out their menu and we were not disappointed with any of the dishes. Also, give their dumplings a try (we order it every time we visit). It’s a sort of soup dumpling that sits in a lot of sesame oil, but it is somehow not overpowered by it and rather tasty.
What an awesome little gem of a restaurant. The amount of character this place exudes is amazing. For us pretty authentic and well prepared. Lunch came out quickly and was very reasonably priced. Would love to come here when I can have a couple of drinks!
Don't miss!
So far so good! I really like it! The decor, atmosphere and the dishes that I've had so far we delicious! Will revisit soon.
ordered from lunch menu: szechuan style sliced pork. It came with fish sweet and sour soup and rice and it was excellent! Spicy, with a little broth (no starch), plenty of pork and crispy veggies. Will be back for dinner soon.
Small place but some really amazing Chinese food!
Worth a try if you are in Boston!
Wonderfully spicy and amazing presentation and texture... Find your way down the stairs to Szechuan heaven!
Quick service. Ample options. Really tasty food. Full satisfaction. Reasonable price
