Working in the building, I walked past Grassroots literally thousands of times before I finally tried it. And when I finally did, I realized I had been missing out. It's a very, very small nook on the outside wall of a building, specializing in Korean food. They have some standard lunch sandwiches, but the reason to go to Grassroots is for their Korean Fusion menu board. The east west pig sandwich comes with a few big pieces of slow cooked pork covered in a spicy Asian sauce, complimented with onions, cheese, tomato, and lettuce. Even prepared as "mild", it's spicy, so beware. The vegetables cool down the spiciness and savoriness of the pork, the cheese gives it a creamy layer of texture, and the big bulkie roll holds it all together. The roll never gets soggy. The KBM (Korean Bahn Mi) is an excellent take on the Vietnamese classic, with a Korean twist. It has all the usual suspects of a good bahn mi, but the meat is slathered in a tasty Korean BBQ sauce. The bread is softer than I prefer in a bahn mi, but it didn't detract from the taste and it didn't get soggy. The staff is always welcoming, polite, and fast. Prices are just barely of the higher end, but it's worth it.

Try the piggy menu, it's amazing! This is pork Bulgogi. You can order it sweet or spicy, depending on your taste. The location is convenient, I'll definitely come again!! highly recommend, worth-a-try

Super tiny Korean fusion cafe / takeout lunch spot. I got Porky's Nightmare with miso soup. The main dish was pretty tasty, and appropriately spicy. The miso soup was a bit too condensed and salty. For $11, you could get much more food in Chinatown. The service was reasonably fast, considering the short line that forms around lunchtime. There are also chairs and tables nearby, if you wanted to eat there. Staff seemed friendly and efficient.

The owners are amazingly friendly and care a great deal about both their customers and their food. Call ahead to see if they have the "Spicy East-West Pig." It's an amazing dry rub pork with a delicious chili sauce and fresh fixings. My boyfriend told me it was the best sandwich in the world, and I tend to doubt favorite items from someone's home town actually being as good as they claim. But this one was not the case...it really is one of the very best sandwiches I've ever had!

If you're looking for good food this is the place to go to! They have the best Pork marinated in spicy Korean sauce that is great over rice but I usually get it in a wrap (also comes with a side of soup) . If you are a meaty person and love breakfast, then the Grand-daddy breakfast burrito is for you (SOOO GOOD)...so many different flavors put together, it's confusing and wonderful all at once. The Owner and the employee's are the best and all very welcoming and friendly. I would go out of my way to come here if I am in Boston just because I know I can expect quality service and even better food!

Great sandwiches. The chocolate chip cookies are really good too, homemade and very tasty. You have to go inside the office building using the entrance on Summer St to find the cafe.

Highly recommend this stop for lunch! Don't be discouraged if there is a little bit of a line, as it moves super quick! You can tell the owner really cares about his customers + the food is absolutely delicious and made from scratch! Recommend the triple b (bim bim bap) and the quadruple b (bim bim bap in a burrito), and the sandwiches are great too!

It can be a little hard to find, but the food is amazing (especially sandwiches) and the service is the best you can find. They really love what they do and you can tell by how they talk to customers and how they describe food. They deserve far more recognition :)

Great little cafe. Excellent breakfast sandwiches, coffee and quick lunch items. Their only draw back, unfortunately there is no seating, so it's all take out. Very friendly owners & chief! I visit at least weekly.

This place is always solid. Super friendly staff, fresh menu, and everything I've tried has been delicious. Porky's Nightmare hits the spot when you have that spicy craving.
