I had dinner here while staying at the hotel on a recent business trip.
As I've said on several occasions before, the bar is generally pretty low when it comes to eating in a hotel based restaurant while traveling because you're pretty much a captive audience.
While no exception here, this place is above average in that category- it's pleasant and clean, with an open feel. The place is dominated by a good sized bar. They were somewhat understaffed on a Wednesday night, and it showed - service was not particularly good. I seated myself and had fairly long waits for drinks orders food and bills.
On the plus side, I was pleased with the quality of the food when it arrived - a hummus plate and a Cobb style salad that was done with the place's own twist. Not complicated dishes but well prepared and with good flavour.
Including bar the bill was around $40 tip in. Decent value for the quality of the food, but mitigated by the less than stellar service. I'd eat here again but would make sure I wasn't in a hurry first.
I've eaten here several times. Most of the food items I've had were pretty good. Prices are a bit high and service is slow unless you are at the bar. The lobster roll was fantastic.
Brinkley's is inside the Courtyard by Marriot at Logan International Airport. I tried the chicken pizza and was pleasantly surprised. It was a nice sized portion loaded with chicken and cheese. It was cooked until the cheese started to nicely brown. Service was a little slow in getting my bill to me, in fact I had time to write this before my bill arrived.
I had the fish and chips and it was very tasty and the portion was large. The atmosphere was fun and there was a good crowd sitting at the bar all having a good time. Large TV’s also scattered around the restaurant/lounge area was a good touch. Only negative part was that it took 15 minutes to have my waitress come take my drink order and bring water, but in her defense she was running all around the restaurant and taking care of way too many tables for one person. Once the drink and food orders were in the service was very quick. I’d come back here for dinner next time I’m staying at this hotel!
It's a good solid hotel restaurant. Probably not a place I would go to if I weren't in the hotel, but perfect as a hotel restaurant - a simple, well rounded menu that can serve anyone with quality food. I've been several times while traveling and the food is always good and the service great - friendly and pleasant staff who are happy to help.
Service was a little slow but I enjoyed the food. Had my first lobster roll and loved it. Buffet breakfast was even better. I'd eat here again for sure.
It's good in a pinch, when you're staying at the Courtyard, but expect to be waiting for a bit. The food is good, it just seems to be a little chaotic.
While the decor is a bit tired and worn, and the menu quite limited, our food was excellent!. I had the chicken club. The chicken was tender and moist and the bacon perfectly crisp and flavorful. My partner had a burger which he pronounced really good, flavorful and moist even if it was a touch overcooked. Thd French Fries was really crisp and obvious right out of the fryer. Great service as well.
We stayed at the Marriott for one night on our way from Kennebunkport to Ft. Lauderdale, and had a fast dinner at Brinklye's.
We had a fish sandwich, fish & chips, one beer and a ginger ale. Both dishes were very good, the portions were too large for us so we couldn't finish them.
Service was fast, cheerful, and pleasant. Our waitress name was Denise.
If we go back to Boston and need to saty at the Marriott for a night again, we will go back to Brinklye's.
Friendly staff and excellent food. What more could a weary traveler want. And they recommend great places nearby to check out. Had a great time. Will be back!!
The clam chowder was delicious and I liked the presentation of the garden salad. The salad was filling. Prices are so reasonable
First time in Boston, only stayed 1 night. We were seated promptly. Our waitress attention to detail was on point as she noticed even before we did that we were sat at a "dirty" table. A quick wipe and our order was taken and came out in a timely manner. New to local favorites we tried the lobster roll. Not my cup of tea, but it was flavorful and I would recommend it to lobster lovers. 4 star for no other reason than the food. Good food, our palettes just weren't feeling it.
