Very tasty Korean restaurant. We went there on a Friday night and it was super crowded. There was a long line outside the door and we couldn’t find parking. We ended up getting take out and we needed to wait for 40 minutes. BUT it was very worth it!!!! The soup was surprisingly good! We ordered the non spicy version but I’m so sure the spicy ones can taste even better! Seafood pancake is a must try too. So glad to find a great Korean place like this!

There’s nothing like walking by a place to get the vibe of it. Kaju reeks of truth. A glimpse through the window shows a cart loaded with bubbling stone pots arriving at a table already loaded with banchan and Korean pancakes, busy even before the evening peak. This place is GREAT. Unprepossessing, humble, diversely but strictly Korean, with a very high quality-per-dollar ratio. It’s been voted Best in Boston more than once. Go !

Always a good experience at Kaju (formerly called Kaju Tofu House)! They hvae a wide variety of Korean apps, soups, noodle and rice dishes, and a BBQ choices. Their soups are a must--absolutely wonderful! Limited seating and parking can be tough in the area, but it is worth it for this excellent spot a bit off the beaten path in Allston's Koreantown.

Making a reservation is recommended. We went on a Saturday night and didn't make a reservation, so we waited for around an hour to get a seat, but the food was so good that it was worth it. If you don't know what to order, I would definitely recommend the tofu soup + meat combos, it is the best of both worlds and you can't go wrong with any of the choices. The tofu soup comes with a bowl of rice as well, so you get a very filling meal (or leftovers for later) for a great price. I got the tofu soup + pork belly combo ($20) with kimchi and pork tofu soup and enjoyed every last bite. My friend ordered the tofu soup + galbi combo ($25) with seafood and beef tofu soup, which were also delicious. The pork belly was crispy but not overwhelmingly fatty and the galbi was well-marinated and very tender. The soup can be decently spicy, so err on the side of less spicy if you're worried, but the spicy hot soup and meat was perfect on a cold rainy day.

A good Korean soft tofu spot with great combo deals. My initial visit two years ago didn't leave a good impression, but the buzz around this place piqued my curiosity and drew me back for a second attempt. On this occasion, I opted for a hearty combo of grilled BBQ eel and a small pot of pork soft tofu soup. The eel was thick and tender, offering satisfying bites with that familiar BBQ goodness. The tofu soup, on the other hand, was consistent with what you might find at a run-of-the-mill eatery in Seoul – nothing exceptional but comforting nonetheless. With nice and savory pork fillings, the fried dumplings were also a worthy addition to the meal. Only miss was in the complimentary side dishes. While the kimchi was great, most of the other dishes leaned towards the sweeter side. Admittedly, if you’ve had top-tier soft tofu soup directly from Korea, Kaju's version might not blow you away. However, Kaju offers a respectable version that is perfect for occasional craving fixes.

We ordered the Seafood Soup and Pork Belly combo as well as a Kimchi Pancake. The Kimchi Pancake was super delicious, and the soup was extremely comforting with lots of seafood inside. Pork Belly was a bit disappointing, as it was a bit dry and didn’t have too much flavor.

Super super delicious galbi, and the tofu soup was amazing as well! Came here with a group of my friends for dinner on a Saturday night around 5:30PM. There was no wait time then but after 6:30 there were groups of people waiting. Highly recommend coming early since they don’t take reservations Friday - Sunday. We also got the kimchi pancake which was delicious, although the wait time was a little long after we ordered, the food was worth it!

The go-to for Korean tofu stew and a chill dinner. The quality and taste is consistent with great value as well, especially the combo meal. The only thing I warn is that the spice level is intense. I swear I like and enjoy spicy foods, but mild is as spicy as I will subject myself to here. My suggestion is try mild to start and ask for more pepper if you really want.

Yummy tofu soup! So warm, comforting and fresh ingredients. I got the kimchi beef soup with bulgogi combo, and both hit! The line was long on a saturday night but it was definitely worth the wait.

Very good Korean food. Seafood pancake was very good and the tofu appetizer. The beef is my favorite, not too marinated. The pork is tasty, but sweet where I prefer just spicy. The Tofu soup is like a meal in itself, make room in the stomach.
