Found this place by accident not from Boston We shared hog wings, mac bites, I had tuna tartare sandwich. My friend had pork belly with ramen. They were both delicious. Desert. We had to do The fluffernutter. Not what I ate growing up. I loved it. Loved the place, fun, comfortable and staff amazing
The food was insane. Try the pot roast! Was the most tender I can ever recall. Everything was amazing. Cannot say enough about it.
Generous portion sizes of the Buffalo Wings which were so delicious! Miso Glazed Cod was definitely extremely flavorful, and the flavors are what you would expect at an American restaurant. Short Ribs were melt-in-your-mouth and extremely delicious; the brussel sprouts that came with were also quite tasty. Service was a bit more casual and felt not very professional at times but not too big of a deal
Beautiful place with delicious food! Our meals were very good! Lamb burger 🍔 vas the great choice! Also, salad was 💥! People are very nice. Outdoor seating.
Amazing food the blackened chicken pesto sandwich was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had hands down. Beautifully balanced no one flavor overwhelmed the other and everything complemented it. We also had the street corn dip that was gone in 5 minutes and I did try out the Nashville chicken which was just as good. Their fries are cooked perfectly and the drink I had was incredible as well! Would highly recommend for the food! The service was a little slow but I didn’t mind.
Breakfast tacos and mac and cheese were both delicious. The atmosphere is lovely.
I’ve lived in southie for the last 5 years and local 149 is definitely my go to for brunch. The breakfast tacos and fried Mac and cheese ball will literally cure any hangover. Not even kidding! Also the manager who is this very tall ginger is so hilarious and makes you feel right at home. This place has literally become the extension of my living room.
Great food. Great space. Went for brunch. Was quiet as it was Christmas Eve. Sat by the fire. Started off with a Manhattan. The bartender sure knows how to make a good one. The Mac & Cheese fritters were an excellent appetizer. Had the Brunch Burger, which was very good and not tiny by any means. The home fries were nicely spiced and there was plenty. You definitely get your money's worth. First time there and would definitely go back.
Loved the Thai noodle salad, really tasty chilli peanut sauce, my son had the chicken pesto panini and it was good too and not too heavy , good location right next to castle Island and good neon artsy vibe

A sports bar with pretty decent food. Service was quick, but the place does seem quite busy crowded, had to sit at the bar. Reservations recommended.
We ate at Local 149 this past Saturday night, we live up the street and love this restaurant. We got apps and drinks and had not been waiting too long for our entrees, it was busy. The waiter told us that the kitchen had lost our ticket and he apologized our meals would take some time. We didn’t mind, we were not in a rush. The manager then sent us a free round of drinks, free shots, and dessert to make up for the mistake. The entire staff was extremely apologetic. The service is exceptional and the food is amazing. Thank you Local 149!
