Mid-tier taqueria experience with decent food and drinks.
Anna’s Taqueria has been a reliable spot for Mexican bowls when I don’t have enough time to travel to other areas for my favorite taquerias in Boston. It doesn’t aim to be the best in town, but it is still a solid option for lunch and quick dinner.
From the variety of meat options, the birria and steak roja are my favorites. Although they come with an extra charge, its worth the upgrade. The birria, a slow-roasted beef, is very tender and fatty, which pairs well with other fresh vegetable toppings. Steak Roja comes with a bit of a kick, but offers a more flavorful bite.
Their Horchata, served in an impressively large size at an affordable price, tends to lean on the milder side. It might not be the most authentic version, but as a refreshing drink that’s an alternative to the usual soda, it does its job.

Chicken salad - DELICIOUS
I tried their salad bowl with chicken. Their portions are big and will fill you up. If you’re getting the burrito, you can also size up! The salad was good, the rice and chicken could be better tho. For someone who is conscious about their diet, this place fits the bill.

The food is good and it’s a fair price. Got the job done for what I was looking for (to fill myself with a quick bite on the way home). The downstairs is nice and quiet.
Good tacos. Decent good. Good enough selection. Food looked fresh. At 830 pm it was all delivery people inside and the dining area smelled really really bad. Nausea kind of bad.
Burritos come in two different sizes. There are also two ordering windows when it gets too busy. The food here is clean and flavourful. Its unlike chipotle that it tastes fresh and without the weighted oils/grease. The horchata here is also very good and refreshing. Lots of seating here.
I've had my share of burritos across the country. Anna's was highly recommended by tons of locals. The food was fresh and warm. Ordering was simple and easy. There is still dining in due to Covid. The people were working were friendly and quick. My issue, it is not that great. I had really high expectations and the burrito was merely mediocre. I've had better burritos in the state and surely way better burritos outside if the state ( Utah, California, Texas).
They do cater to different people and their appetites. The photo is a regular burrito. Not pictured, my husband bought a super burrito and my brother-in-law bought a super super burrito, which was 2 feet long. Between the three of us, we had the steak, al pastor, and chicken. All meats were good. My biggest issue in the cheese used and the tortilla itself. The tortillas is soggy and the burrito needs more cheese. You can hardly taste it.
Grab and go Mexican in Boston that pre-dates the popular Chipotle food chain. Anna's is a refreshing alternative that is better than Chipotle and their burritos are definitely 👍
Good quality/cost food. good price for a quick meal in a normal day! Good portions.
Food is great. I prefer delivery to dining in... something about letting the burrito absorb the flavors.
Pretty good burrito. They put very much smaller than usual. I wish they could put little more on them, they make it with so little amount of food but I do love it. Is okay for the price I like the before burrito. It used to come with more quantities for the price.
