Only a quick little meal of potatas bravas, tortilla (Spanish version) and shishito peppers but everything was excellent and made even more tasty by the aiolis, romesco or other dressings that they came with. Another stand-out was the ‘mocktail’ which was as sophisticated flavour-wise as an alcoholic one. I appreciated the refreshing white Spanish wine recommended by staff. Note that they have a strict policy of not seating you outside after 8:30pm. Inside was cozy and charming -a converted Victorian? With a big bay window, old wood floors, seating at the bar area.

The food was to die for, the bartender was super knowledgable and friendly—gave us great recommendations. Cozy atmosphere with darker lighting. Love the live music. 10/10 would recommend

Cute space with delicious food! The positives - the food was really well done, great options. The drinks were also very well made, I think my mezcal based drink was fantastic. The salted watermelon drink was also great. The chickpea fritters were delicious, and the mussels were made in this beautifully made broth. The negatives - service and space. I get it - you have to maximize space and this place was BUSY. that being said we were seated in front of the kitchen on their high tables which would normally be fine but their AC/ventilation was just not strong enough to counteract the heat in there. Secondly the service - they were busy, but at multiple times they just forgot our order. We had to remind them we had orders that we were waiting for, which again, I get you're busy but I shouldn't have to chase you down for the food we're expecting. All in all a cute spot with great and reasonably priced food. I would say book the low top tables unless it's winter and you want to be HOT.

Oh my gosh the food here was delicious! This is in my top 3 favorite tapas places I’ve eaten at in Boston. I loved the decor inside, small but a really fun atmosphere. The tortilla Española was my absolute favorite and the roasted beet salad is a must! All of the drinks were delicious and the smoked fruit in them made them a little extra special. The book and record store was great to browse before/after the meal. I definitely recommend making a reservation or showing up early to make sure you can get a table outside!

For my birthday dinner this year, my boyfriend made a reservation at Tres Gatos to celebrate. I had never been, but have had it as a bucket list place for many years and was excited to go. We were seated immediately, given a low table by the window which was perfect, and our server came by immediately with water and menus. We settled on a small paella and three tapas items (asparagus, patatas and garlic shrimp) and ordered two surprise mocktails. The food was delicious, the asparagus came in a sauce I couldn’t stop eating and the paella was beautifully presented and so tasty we ate every morsel! However, the star of the night was our server Cameron. He went above and beyond making my night feel special and celebratory, even making sure I had a candle to make a wish upon. Regardless of the food, we will definitely frequent Tres Gatos because of Cameron!! It takes a very special person to create an atmosphere where customers feel welcomed, seen and genuinely celebrated. Thank you, Cameron, for making my birthday this year so special!!!

Amazing! Been here a few times and it never fails to disappoint. They allow walk ins but the place fills up pretty quickly so a reservation is recommended. The bone marrow was probably my favorite dish but the shishito peppers are a must try too. Great service and environment

Good food but limited list of drinks and wines. Mainly taps and small plates to share. Only paella is a large plate. The quality is good but the portions are small and you end up ordering more plates that at the end build up a lot your final bill. Tapas plate are usually very cheap … and this is the origin of the plate not small and expensive. Location is cozy and something different from a regular resturant. They sell records in the back of the store and music is definitely a big piece of this place (live music is available most of the nites). Outside seating available … maybe tables are a little bit too small…. But nice and cute set up.

The place is cool. I will be going back. They serve food, drinks and in the back sell books and music. The service is great; five stars. While the tables do have pre-service setup (appetizer/bread plates) w/ utensils and glass for water… I was only served the later (water). I order the mussel dish; mussels were good, the broth was good too/salty but good. Drink was nice. Atmosphere is cool. Outdoor patio is nice. There is one in front and if your lucky or not depending on your perspective, is shaded and other tables are not. There is also patio (outdoor seating) is also on the side of the business as well. There is also a side entrance to where the books and music is sold. Still a lil type unclear of the purpose of the appetizer/bread plate. It is a cute little place and this the menu reflect this; the dishes are are few but do vary with cheese option appetizers, and a few others, entree and drink menu. Worth checking out inspire of some of the limitations menu-wise but still nice spot.

Nestled in a quiet JP neighborhood, Tres Gatos is a good place to enjoy tapas in a causal and relaxing atmosphere. It is housed in an old building, and the retro bookstore decorations set an uncomplicated setting that goes along well with the theme of the restaurant. On my recent visit, I got to try several pinchos and tapas, and most of the dishes were fairly good. I liked that they didn’t over-season their food, and seared sea scallops, Brussels sprouts, and chickpea fritters were some of the standouts. The playful integration of citrus in the Brussels sprouts was particularly enjoyable, and the Greek-inspired chickpea fritters were also very interesting. Paella was the least favorite part of the meal as it lacked the socarrat-like caramelization and crunch. Overall, a solid tapas experience with a couple of interesting dishes. Service was great throughout our meal, and while I probably wouldn’t travel from far to try them again, it was certainly interesting to learn what the tapas scene is like in the Boston suburbs.

I rarely give 5 stars unless something keeps me coming back, so 4 it is. This place had succeed to hold a trendy vibe - The street is quiet, you walk up, open the door and wow it's a whole new market in there! when you walk in to this 1st level apartment-like space, its homey and party like at the same time. I like that The theme is - Tapas. Small plates, peculiar ingredient combinations like escargot on bone marrow spread on handmade toast should fit for an award. There are plates that I ask "where is the pasta to these meatballs" lol.. I love the presentation nonetheless. Appetizer is sampling of choice of 3, or 5, charcuterie boards - chicken liver, and more.. Main dishes are also tapas. Small, this dishes I find it pricey at low around $16+, high at $27 - $33 per dish. Probably won't visit on a regular basis but will definitely be back for a good round of the unique dishes when my pockets feel fuller.

This place is so cool and unique. I had some flavors and textures that I've never tasted before! Isak was our waiter and he was SO sweet and friendly and we really enjoyed how personable he was. Everything is presented so beautifully. This was a really cool experience.

Such a cozy, lovely place. Our food was prepared so quickly and presented beautifully. The patatas bravas were delicious and crispy, the steak was cooked well, and the meatball-style dish on polenta was amazing. We also loved the coffee and crispy churros with a delicious chocolate sauce. Truly a wonderful spot for a nice dinner!
