We had a great lunch. The waiter was super. He suggested the calamari to start and it was awesome. Suggested local beers that we loved. Everything else was delicious as well right down to the lava cake. Highly recommend. Not to mention the building and the history of it is spectacular!
Dropped in for lunch as a last minute decision and so glad this is the place we chose. Both our meals were absolutely delicious and even though neither of us really eats seafood we found ourselves eyeing other people meals as they walked past! Our server was very polite and knowledgeable of the menu, making excellent suggestions. Definitely going to have to go back soon!
We had a really friendly waiter who gave as a bit of history on the place. Learned it's the 3rd oldest building in Boston and John Hancock owned it/worked out of it. The food was delicious and the chocolate lava cake is worth it! It's 3 stories, but has seating available on the ground floor so mobility can be accommodated We want to go back already.
This place is a gem! They have outdoor dining, indoor dining and a bar. Multiple levels indoors. Food was delicious! 😋 And very reasonably priced. I couldn't finish my meal and desperately wanted to because it was so good. My friend got the salmon and it was also delicious. Neat historic decor on the inside, just a very nice atmosphere. Will definitely be back!
I had the pleasure of dining at Chart House Boston recently, and the experience was nothing short of exquisite. For starters, the oysters were fresh and set the tone for the meal. The Maine lobster that followed was cooked to perfection, embodying the very essence of New England cuisine. To cap off the evening, the lava cake was a delightful indulgence that melted in my mouth. But what truly elevated the entire experience was the exceptional service. The staff were attentive and professional, making sure every detail was taken care of. For anyone seeking a memorable dining experience in Boston, Chart House is a must-visit.
Our experience at Chart House was truly exceptional. Waiter Tristin elevated our evening with impeccable service, offering insights into the building's history and expertly guiding us through the menu. The coconut shrimp and lava cake were culinary highlights, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to exquisite flavors. Combined with a captivating atmosphere, our visit to Chart House was a delightful journey through history, complemented by outstanding service and delectable dishes.
Really enjoyed my time at Chart House! Everything we tried was delicious and the service was so good! Learning the history of the building, trying some fresh catches, and so much more - this is a place to go when in Boston!
This is a wonderful restaurant to go to for an elegant dinner. The atmosphere and service is excellent. They do not rush you at all. There is time in-between courses and they offer suggestions. The food is always great. I did not take the best pictures as I forgot until we had taken a few bites. Crab cakes beautiful, fresh and not bready. Lobster stuffed haddock was cooked beautifully, lots of lobster as well. Key lime pie had excellent flavor and was a huge piece, good for sharing after a wonderfully filling meal.
Great location on Long Wharf. The restaurant sits in a building that once contained John Hancock's office. The safe he used is still in the wall on the second floor.
The staff were polite and professional. I cannot say enough about Chloe. She made my dinner even more enjoyable. She had several great recommendations.
Everything was so good, I am planning on going back tonight before leaving town.
Zoey was very nice and attentive. We loved the atmosphere and the view right on the harbor ⚓. My crab crusted Mahi was amazing and the fried Calamari was different and tasty.
However the roasted chicken was a big disappointment and the chocolate lava cake is just a chocolate cake, no melted chocolate inside or anything.
Overall the atmosphere is super and the staff was very nice but some food items could definitely get better.
The 3rd oldest building in Boston. The menu was varied and the wine offering was extensive. I loved everything, the only complaint was that our food took almost an hour and a half to get to us. Would go here again.
Atmosphere was great! Fantastic view of downtown Boston. The service was was good with friendly staff. The food was ok. I was expecting a great food experience and food was average. Ordered Prime Rib and Two Lobster Tails. We enjoyed our dinner but I had to add salt at pepper to my dish.
