The plain cheese pizza with cornmeal on the crust was very tasty and the crust and sauce were spectacular! It was a bit rustic but it was a pizza restaurant. Took them forever to make a simple large pie with extra sauce! It was great to see many of the celebrities that have met with the owner. Definitely worth going back for their pizza!
Love this place! Best pizza! The cheese and sauce is perfection.. The meat is so good too. They give you the meat with peppers and bread. Definitely top notch. The server Michael was very great.
Update: We tried the chicken tips today and they were great too!

We ordered Extra Sausage and Garlic Pizza,😋CBG Chicken, Broccoli and Garlic Pizza, House Made Sausage Skewers, 😋Beef Tip Skewers, Lamb Tip Skewers, 😋Chicken Tip Skewers all The Skewers come with Whole Cherry Peppers and Fresh Italian Bread😋. The House Wine 🍷 was Excellent 👌 and The Beers were Cold.
This is A 💰Cash Only Establishment💰 with an ATM Machine inside the Back of The Restaurant.
The Service was Great and our Waitress was Awesome 👍.

This was probably the best pizza I have ever had. The flavor's were excellent. The sause has to be homeade. It's a small old building but perfect when you think of down town Boston. Our waitress was great. It wasn't overly busy buy steady busy.
Great pizza! We went here before dropping off a friend at the airport - very close to the airport. Pizza came quickly! Cheese was high quality mozzarella, and sauce tasted very good! People working at the time were nice.

Step back into the seventies! Is it the best pizza - maybe not, but the whole package is priceless - the cheese and sauce are amazing, something seems to have changed with the crust, a bit flat last few times. The toppings also amazing, they know what they are doing! And the sausage and hit peppers are incredible. Wish the bread that went with it were more fresh but it is distinctive. Gotta get the grilled lamb as well. Oh, one more thing - make sure you ask for the soup du jour ;-)
What is a trip to Boston without Santaroio's. This pizza is insane. A little corn meal, perfect spices, cooked to perfection. I couldn't ask for a better pizza to take back to NY. Looking forward to my next trip to East Boston.

This place is perfect in every way, except that they only accept cash. It’s a no-frills little hole in the wall pizza joint serving up some incredible pizza. I’ve been coming here for years and it never disappoints. I highly recommend the lamb tips and a plain old cheese pizza. You won’t be disappointed! Incredible!
Probably some of the best pizza you will have in the greater Boston area. Nice and thin without being too floppy and a good crispy crust. Sauce is flavorful and savory, cheese is great and pepperoni is legit. Definitely on the greasy side but I don’t consider that a bad thing, just part of the style of pizza. Service is also fantastic, very polite and fast.
The reason I do not give it 5 stars is honestly because it’s kind of a dump in the building. Seats and tables are fine but the outside is wasting away and the bathroom is just straight up terrible.
