Carlile’s is always a great place for lunch. If you like barbecue, you need to check this place out. The staff is super friendly, and the food is always consistent. It’s a hidden gem in the heart of Birmingham. Their fried pickles and bbq chicken sandwich are amazing!! Highly recommend�

My Uncle Jimmy and I eat here together often. The food is always outstanding, and the servers and cooks are so friendly. You'll be hard pressed to find better BBQ, and the peach cobbler is top notch, as are the fresh cut fries. The building doesn't look like much from the outside, but that's often true of the best places. You won't regret a meal spent here.
Great BBQ sandwich. Best in town! Got together with some old friends. Nice room in the back. Great service. If you visit Birmingham, got to go here.. Fried okra was also very good.

Great place if you want barbeque for lunch. Everything tastes good. Still love it here after 12 years! Staff is friendly and service is quick!
