Our family started going to Cherry Hut when it was small stand selling cherry pie. We are now on 5th generation of family members to have eaten there. Daily specials are great... we have gone on Tuesday's for many years to have Swiss Steak dinner. When not hungry for full dinner, I get their cherry chicken salad plate. Great family owned business and outstanding employees.
I really enjoyed the Cherry Chicken Salad. We got a side of the cherry bbq sauce and I put it on my cherry chicken salad. It was super tasty. It tasted very good without it too. I also tried it with the cherry vinaigrette and that was tasty too. I ended up buying a jar of the cherry bbq sauce to take home. If I was from the area, I would definitely go back.

The Cherry Hut, in business since 1922. A fun little place in Beulah MI across from the Crystal Lake. As you might guess, everything is cherry at The Cherry Hut. I had a burger and onion rings. Both were okay but not something to smack your mama about. My son had a club and chips on sourdough bread. This was really good and it was a good size. The fetching Mrs. Rat had the pot roast sandwich on sourdough bread with Havarti cheese. This was fantastic! The meat alone was at least an inch and a half thick. It was tender and melted in your mouth. The cherry pie was good, but I have had better in other places.
Our server, Riley was on the ball and very friendly. Not a bad place to stop for a bite to eat. The choices in the Platte River area are limited and The Cherry Hut fills a niche.
A lovely quaint atmosphere with fun cherry print dittys. We shared their cherry chicken salad croissant & it was tasty & light. We also enjoyed their cherryade & a cup of traditional chicken noodle soup.

Cherrylicious!. Found the Cherry Hut thanks to my favorite travel companion (other than my wife and children) Roadfood. If your heading north on 31 towards the sand dunes, a couple miles south of Beulah while heading down a steep hill you will be captured by an incredible view of Crystal Lake. This is simply some of the prettiest country around. But don't gaze to long, once at the bottom the Cherry Hut is on the right - can't miss it!
Favored by locals and tourists alike the Cherry Hut gets busy on the weekends but it is worth the wait. Try the cherry chicken salad, hot chicken pie and of course a slice of cherry pie - you may just take a whole one with you. Before leaving go next store and grab a bag of cherries for the road. Enjoy!

Can't say enough good things about the experience we had! The restaurant had retro decor with a really cute cherry theme. Our server, Nancy, was so friendly and fun, and was enthusiastic about giving recommendations. Our cherry-ful meal was fabulous - I had the cherry ade to drink, which was a nice, slightly tart cherry juice with a hint of lemon. It was sweet, but not overly sweet. (Try it mixed with iced tea for a less sweet option!) The vegetable soup was savory and flavorful, and the salad with cherry vinaigrette was delicious and had lots of nice fresh veggies on it. The dinner also came with a fresh cinnamon roll and dinner roll, both of which were so fluffy and wonderful. Most of us got the roast turkey and stuffing dinner, which came with mashed potatoes and gravy, and dill butter green beans. I got the cherry pie a la mode, which was so good - easily the best cherry pie I've ever had - with fresh filling and a nice crispy and sweet crust. A couple in our party got the black cherry chocolate chip ice cream, which was also so fresh and delicious. I bought a t-shirt and some tart cherry jam to take home, and an adorable cherry plushie. This was our first visit, but it definitely won't be our last!

I absolutely adore this cute place! They've been around for 100 years, so they know what they're doing. The turkey and stuffing are so delicious. Hubby loved his burger, so juicy it falls apart. And of course I brought home a cherry pie and jam!

A long-term favorite, 101 years old this year. Great cherry products, especially their pies & jams, but we also enjoyed lunch this year (there to buy pies). I had the luncheon special, a great bargain, a pork cherry BBQ w/ potatoes & veggies. The BBQ was one of the best I’ve ever had. Service was the usual; prompt, attentive & cheerful.
Great old-time restaurant in Beulah, good service and very clean. Very busy in summer, closed in the winter. Love their egg salad sandwich and of course, their cherry pie! Their Sunday only breakfast buffet is so good-- try the french toast and cinnamon rolls.

I love this place but it is comfort food rather than haute cuisine. For my most recent meal I had the daily special: a generous stuffed pork chop which came with delightful fresh green beans in a butter dill sauce, and also came with all the standard sides. It was tasty and filling. The pie is always very sweet and brings back memories of childhood.

Found it odd that you could choose soup or juice. Either way I got saltines.
The fish is very fresh!
