Highly recommend them. They did a beautiful job for a baby brunch I hosted. Smoked Salmon, mini muffs, fruit tray, antipasto platter, baked brie, stuffed mushrooms, deviled eggs, and crawfish boudin balls. All were expertly displayed and delicious!
I think Alexander's Highland Market is hands down the finest grocery store in Baton Rouge. In addition to being a beautiful store, with a fabulous selection of premium food stuffs and miscellaneous sundries, there is an awesome cafe with a great menu.
Plus, being a huge supporter of the "Buy Local" initiative, I especially commend Alexander's for their dedication to promoting LOCAL products and businesses.
I drive past several other major grocery stores to shop at Alexander's.
5 stars for the king cakes and the level of service we got from the ladies behind the desk. They helped us choose the best ones and really showed interest in what we were looking for. Pictures are Strawberry Shortcake and Recces.
Awesome spot for local shopping. Fair prices. Many in store prepared dishes already cooked or take home and cook options. Friendly and courteous staff. The store is extremely clean and welcoming. Wine selection is also great. Will definitely visit again.
Friday's lunches are a secret here. Best fried fish and Shrimp...both are $7.99 per pound if you get something in addition to the fish/shrimp. If not, only fish and/or shrimp are $9.99 per pound, but still a great bargain. Some of best staffing in Baton Rouge....
Come around 12:15 on Fridays and you will probably see me there...get some fresh gelato to clean the palette.
Prolly my favorite store in Baton Rouge now. Good produce and fresh veggies and fruit !What I really like is the store is clean and smells clean. The seafood smell doesn't hit you in the face when you walk in like at Albertsons. The employeee's are kind and very friendly. Get the freshest Kleinpeter 2% milk available being Kleinpeter is just down the street. The Deli is superb and loaded with goodies. Easy to get in and out quick and lots of products !!
It was the fresh sushi and a sit down restaurant that brought me in. The market had a fancy vibe in it with the handwriting title to every section. The food looked like they were mostly organic and locally grown. The prepared food looked great. I was about to try out the potato soup but couldn’t find any cheaper option other than a $7.99 small container. Yike! I ended up not getting any because it was too expensive for a cup of soup. They seemed to have everything here. The milk was oddly hidden behind the numerous selections of wine bottles. I just bought a few items which were about the same price as Walmart and left. Anyway, my friend and I will be back to try more prepared food.
Best Mardi gras cake I've EVER had! This was my first time trying them and was not disappointed - it was so fresh and delicious - 5 stars⭐
