Consistently one of my fave lunch spots and fried chicken is the special on Wednesday. Starts with house made pork rinds and has a great menu across the board. Great for business lunches and also a great date spot too. Full bar. Always enjoy a meal here. Veteran of about 6-8 trips now. Recommend.
We had dinner here tonight And it was some of the best food I've ever eaten! I had the rabbit and my boyfriend had the pork chop. Both were DELICIOUS! We also got the lamb meatball appetizer and it was amazing! Great service, great food!!
I would have to search hard to find a reason not to give Beausoleil the highest rating. Their food is delicious, the staff is down to earth, respectful, the atmosphere is relaxed, and they have craft cocktails! They even have artisian breads made locally. If you want a model small business for the perfect anytime experience look at this unique upscale authentic cajun ride.
Good brunch/Inattentive staff. I had a very good brunch (shrimp creole omelette, crab cake benedict) and we enjoyed sitting outside, in front by the entrance. The only issue was our waiter's visits were infrequent (every 20 minutes) and we eventually had to flag down another server to pay. The table next to us was completely forgotten and had to ask to order. I'm assuming this happens infrequently, so I'd give them another shot. Good food and atmosphere.
Best place in BR. Simply the best place in Baton Rouge in my opinion. The menu changes with the seasons and all the dishes are well thought out and composed. The atmosphere is the part my wife likes the most. It has the feel of a small neighborhood bistro. The staff is very friendly and Jeff always makes sure to say hello. The ONLY complaints I seem to hear is that the portions are too small. If you want an entree that is enough to feed 2 or 3 people go to Chili's or Applebee's.
Very nice server. We had brunch. Hollendaise was superb. Nloody marys too w house infused bacon vodka. Fried oysters in truffle, parmigiano vinagrette spectacular.
Enjoyable. Let me start by saying my wife and I only ordered a few small plates to get more of a sampling of their food. First, drinks. She ordered a margarita on the rocks (???) and I went with a Manhattan. They were both superb. We started our meal with the veal sweetbreads. My shoe would be eatable in the beurre blanc. The sweetbreads were cooked perfectly. Next we tried the clams with fries. They were pretty good, but not in the same category as the sweetbreads. The next 2 items we ordered as entrees, the potato gnocchi and the truffle fried oysters. The gnocchi dish in the butter sauce was great. I wasn't so thrilled with the oysters though. They weren't bad, but I didn't really get the truffle. Classic atmosphere, solid service, a trained barkeep, and overall an enjoyable visit. I will be back to try the entrees.

Yummy!. My hubby and I like to try different places since there are so many restaurants in BR. I took him here for his birthday because there were a few things on the dinner menu that I knew he would like. Ambiance is nice. We got there around 530 on Saturday night...not crowded at all. It seems more formal, but a nice pair of jeans is appropriate. The pork rinds table app was a neat quirk. We started with the truffle fried oysters. Im prefer raw to fried, but these were delicious...loved the hint of citrus. I got the special which was prime rib. Perfectly cooked though my only disappointment was that there was no veg served with it. It was just a steak for $34. even a seasonal veg would not have detracted from the plate. My hubby got the scallops over duck confit risotto and he loved it. I tasted it too...very fresh. We topped off with the white chocolate bread pudding/pecan praline ice cream dessert. Very tasty and an appropriate size. Very good experience. Service was excellent. Will be back!

It was amazing. Everything we had was great for brunch! The fried eggplant was so good and I don't like eggplant. I had the grits an grill added and again, don't like grits. It was amazing. My boyfriend had the "BBLT" an he loved it. The service was incredible and the atmosphere was perfect. I've never been for lunch or dinner but the brunch was the best in the city easily. Will definitely be back for everything else!!
