This is a truly local watering hole in Baton Rouge and has a delightfully intimate atmosphere. Getting there early is a must because the tables fill up quickly! Their veal picatta is delicious and if you want to go for serious comfort food the meatball and spaghetti are amazing! It’s literally a huge meatball on top of a mind boggling plate of spaghetti. If you can eat the whole thing in one sitting then you probably deserve an award. They also have some of the best brunch in town!
Pricey but top notch food. All of their parmigiana are to die for! I'd never had eggplant before but it has become my new favorite. The building has limited parking and small for how popular it is but that doesn't keep it from being the best Italian food in Baton Rouge.
I've eaten here thousands of times and had some fantastic lunches and dinners. I've moved out of the neighborhood and now have small rug rats , so I don't get to visit like in the past. It's always a wonderful experience, and if it's not..they will fix it. Last evening, I had the Roasted garlic appetizer.. still the best after 15 years. I love the butter steak ( I upgrade the side of GOP pasta to Pesto!) My mom always goes for the muffuletta ( that's my fave for lunch) Still love this little gem after 25 years! Get there early, like 5:45, or you'll have a wait. ( Great bar/wine selection)
I think this is my favorite restaurant in Baton Rouge. Not a big place. Gets packed at night. The smallness of the place helps create a neat atmosphere. Helps to go early, or be prepared to wait. I especially like the fish specials.
Coming from a foodie: this hole in the wall southern Italian dive is to die for!! DiGiulio's has a great ambiance... The lighting, the regulars, the food, the great wine, it's a dining experience is recommend to locals and visitors alike. Everything is good... And I've had it all! The meatballs are divine... The pizza, the homemade bread, the house salad, the osso bucco, the veal piccata, muffuletta... The red sauce. It's the best Italian food around.
Game day dinner. First trip to Di Giulio's. We live in Mandeville. Our travels brought us to BR for a visit to see kids and grand daughter.
My son in law suggested Di-Giulio's for dinner. Our experience was awesome. Your staff was very friendly and knowledgable.
It was obvious this qaint dining establishment delivers on customer service and fresh ingredients to it's customers. We left wanting more.
Can't wait to return.
Very great food and service. We had the spaghetti and meatball, veal piccata, Alfredo shrimp, all of them were excellent. Great atmosphere too.
Great Food. It's amazing how often Italian food is out of a can garbage in this town. That being said that is not the case here. The food is fresh and homemade. There marinara is spot on and did I say Fresh! I was blown away by the service, the atmosphere and food. The manager was running the bar and was attentive and friendly. This is what restaurants in Baton Rouge should strive to replicate. So that being said if you haven't eaten here stop wasting your time reading my rants and make your way over there.
DELICIOUS Italian food! Some of the best Italian food in BR! Super great & friendly service! Good wine/drink selection! Perfect romantic date atmosphere!
Hidden gem. It is amazing to me how many people do NOT know about this place. I absolutely love it. Great little Italian place. The owner is always there and willing to help you get a table. Great wine prices as well. The eggplant parm is my favorite, but all the Italian dishes are good. Second only to Gino's in Italian fare in Baton rouge.
