First time getting food from here along with about 8 coworkers, and man was it good! I had the steak soft tacos with Spanish rice. Fantastic flavor and very fresh! Highly suggest. Can't wait to try more food for lunch from there. Just wish they had some yellow queso with chips!
Please go here. The food was amazing. The drinks were on point and delicious. The owner was kind and devoutly passionate about her business. The nachos were some of the best I have ever had with it being on my top 5 of all time. The elote was great well above normal (some places skimp on toppings others just don't have great corn this was better than average)
I can't really praise this place enough, but I'll try. I enjoy writing Google Maps reviews because with every review, I attach a fond memory of a good meal with friends. However, I'm a bit backlogged in reviews, and so I'm starting to forget some of the places I've been too. Not this place. I remembered the name instantly, and exactly the food I got because it was so delicious and filling. My friend and I took Spin Scooters here all the way from Hopkins on a freezing January night just to eat here.
I've attached pictures of the receipt so you can know what to order (we got lucky numbers too, so that should tell you something). We arrived near closing time, but the guy behind the counter was so nice and friendly, and even let us try a free sample of something because we stuck up some conversation with him.
The nachos were super filling and all the sauces were flavorful as well. The burrito was (obviously) much better than something you'd get at Chipotle -- the fillings were even and mixed really nicely. We each got Jarritos flavors that we had never tried before.
Definitely come and try this place, multiple times!
Taco Tuesday!
So we had
4 taco platters (3 tacos ur choice, 2 sides (rice, black beans or refried beans) w/ two sauces. )
1 street corn
1 burrito
1 chicken quesadilla
Btw us we had fish, chicken, steak, carne asada, and carnitas… the steak was so/so, everything else was yummy but the fish was by far my FAVORITE!
Mom said her chicken burrito was delicious and filling, but a tad spicy.
The boychild who “doesn’t” eat cheese enjoyed his chicken quesadilla and loved dunking it in the sour cream. Lol
The toddler child loved my rice and beans.
The picky teen thought the Elotes was okay !
My only complaint may be that we had to pay for little cups of sour cream.
Overall it was a decent meal. This is my second time trying their food and I would definitely come back!
I can't say enough about Cholita's.
DeeAnn is a super-solid business-person and just person in general. The stall has anchored the whole place now for years, the food is fab, and it's a super great price-value. The staff are amazing and friendly (partly due to DeeAnn being a great boss I bet. Oh, and great drinks!
Best tacos ever. I can probably eat my weight in tacos daily. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it here. I know they are sicka me.. but idk. Shrimp taco platter me please.. double rice, no beans 🤗😁
Best fish tacos I've ever had, they are made with fresh rockfish. The sauce makes it perfect.
I had the Street Tacos ( Beef) and it was delicious. Parking is difficult but my meal was delicious. I will return soon.
Baltimore is definitely not your taco emporium city like what you would get out west, but things are looking better over the last year or so. Cholitas is part of that wave of new taco shops starting to pop up around the city. Definitely over priced for what you get, taco wise, but they are tasty. But I guess if the hipster trendy folks keep paying for it, then why not. I would recommend Cholitas for a fairly authenic take on Mexican tacos in a funky/trendy neighborhood food market/eatery mall.
Babbby let me tell y’all about they corn you need to go get some like Now, like umm today lol! Seriously I needed 3 all to me I’m hooked!
