The food is amazing! It’s the seasoning, I tell ya. Gotta get the extra every time. Friendly group of guys working in the back. The only negative side to this exp, is there is no free flowing oxygen in this place. It’s stuffy and hot due to the cooking. You Guy’s must open the doors or get the HVAC fix please.
I called in My order because I was trying to make it to a delivery on time with My Tractor Trailer. There is parking spaces available in the shopping center parking lot that accommodates big trucks which is a plus looking for food. When I got to the restaurant my food was ready to go.
I have never had a problem with their food been coming to hiphop for years in city and in essex food is always good!!!
My wife actually loves the fish here but, I understand they put seasoning all over all the food. I guess you have to ask them NOT to do that if you don't like it but, other than that, the food was pretty good and the service pretty quick!
Great spot, never disappointed when we eat here. Soul Food is the surprise on the menu. They have dine in as well.
I ordered a chicken box w/ ff and fried okra, for delivery. It came quickly, the chicken and fries were still crunchy and hot when I received them, tasted delicious, and the okra was amazing too. Has now been moved to my favorites for sure!!

I love this place. The only thing I wouid change is the way they cook greens. People of color don't like them diced so small and we like them cooked with flavor (no pork) and they shake too much salt on the food after its done. I always have to dust my wings off with paper towel to get that powdery salt off. Hip Hop is always my go to for chicken and fish. And they give decent sized portions.
