We loved it here the owner was so nice and sweet she went vying our expectations. We tried to go to Blue moon first and they were rude and wouldn’t want to deal with us. I really recommend it here, you won’t regret it.
Amazing food and service for a great price! They have a large selection of food and beverages, and provide nice sized portions as well. It’s busy during the weekends, but not a terribly long wait. One of my favorite breakfast spots in Fed.
We came here for breakfast on Christmas Day. First we were glad they were open and accommodating. Everyone there was friendly. The breakfast was good as well.
I came in wanting to try and give my money to someone other than the faceless corporate chain across the street, Dunkin Donuts.
I ordered a veggie breakfast burrito, large iced coffee, and a chocolate muffin. The price was very reasonable, the service (at noon) was fast, and the burrito was, hands-down, the best breakfast burrito I've had in a veryy long time. The muffin was tasty, but a little dry - making me want to sip more iced coffee. I'm no coffee aficionado, but I really enjoyed their iced coffee too (black, no sugar).
The Café has the feel of a tiny, old school diner. It's reflected in the decor, pale beige walls, and light gravel colored carpeting. There's a grand total of 10 tables, 6 small round 4-tops, and 4 small rectangular 2-tops. Each has a neatly maintained collection of napkins, salt, pepper, ketchup, Cholula, artificial maple syrup, and a basket of butter and jelly packets. A cooler shelf with all sorts of name-brand juices, drinks, OJ, and a few yogurts stands across from the counter. It's front panels shine, partially lined with LED lights that stick out like an iPhone in a stack of 40-year-old phone books.
The man behind the register, who is perhaps the owner, is textbook polite. He calls everyone Sir or Mam, and repeats everything that he rings up for confirmation of the order. Based on my conversation with him, and those I overheard, he sounds slightly robotic. Specifically, he uses between very little and no emotion in both his tone and his affect. But he also clearly takes pride in his high level of professionalism, a master of his craft... he's such a character that I feel like I just walked into a movie or novel... so does that make me Will Ferrell? 😮
Had an awesome experience at this cafe. Went to go to another place in the area for breakfast, but it had too long of a wait. We were referred by a local business to check this place out. Cute little cafe, great food and awesome pricing. Had the western omelette with home fries and it was cooked perfectly. The gentleman and ladies behind the counter were very welcoming and graciously accomodated our party of 8. We were surprised and impressed about the quality of the food. Awesome little spot that deserves a lot more attention. Small businesses like this are where it's at! Will be coming again next time I am in the area
One of my favorite spots in Fed Hill! Nice to just get some good food for an amazing price. Can never go wrong with the basics at Light St. The service is always so friendly & they are quick. I love going here & just grabbing a BLT on sourdough - can not go wrong here!
Great food, huge portions, and very reasonable prices!
This was my first time and the breakfast was great. 4 eggs over easy, 6 strips of bacon, 4 slices of toast with butter, a bowl of grits and a large glass of OJ! I was in Heaven. The young lady who took my order was very pleasant and professional. 7 STARS!!!!! I will return with guests.
This is a great place for breakfast. The food is great, the people are friendly, and the prices are spot on. I always get the pancakes, which are light and fluffy and they come with chocolate chips and blueberries of you want. You can also order just one pancake, which is great for kids. Couple of notes, they are home fries people, not hash browns. And the seating is a little limited, but the tables turn over fast, so your patience will be rewarded. Ultimately, the most family friendly breakfast place on the Hill.
I've been coming here for at least 5 years. This place is the bomb. I don't come here as often anymore because I don't work in Fed Hill anymore. I will drive there just for breakfast though. I went in the other day and got my normal latte and pancake breakfast sandwich. Now the owner wasn't taking orders like he normally does. But his wife took my order. My latte was alright, not as good as when he makes it. I waited about 25 minutes for my sandwich (i already know it takes awhile). I took it to go and when I got home there was no top to my sandwich. Disappointed because it's so good. Just make sure if you order to go look at your dood before you leave.
