Johnny Rad's serves absolutely excellent food. The Risotto Balls and Shred Stix appetizers are addicting, the pizza is incredible, and they have a respectable beer selection. Service was excellent, too. This is not your avg pizza joint...they have so much more, including a creative brunch on Sunday. Eat here w/o hesitation.
Yummy all the time... Dinner, late night, brunch! Even Carnivores like the vegan stuff it is so good! Great beer selection too! I have heard their fries called crack-fries many times.
It's mostly a bar, with some tables and a dining room in back, and a few tables out on the sidewalk. There are lots of beers to choose from. We tried the fried risotto balls for an appetizer. These are risotto wrapped around a chunk of mozzarella cheese, rolled into a ball, breaded, and fried. They are served with marinara sauce on the side. These were really good. Not greasy, and the cheese added a nice flavor to the risotto. Johnny's has many different pizzas (or build your own) in two sizes.
Great food and service, but my only gripe is 50 cents for skeeball and pacman. Shouldn't be that high.
Great neighborhood spot with a good mix of people and friendly, relaxed service. Pizza was great with a great sauce and crust- with good options for non- pizza eaters. Would definitely go back
Always awesome.. I have been here loads of times. By far my favorite pizza in Baltimore. I've had a good handful of the pizzas on the menu, and I've loved all of them. They are always consistently good. The fries with chipotle mayo rock too. I need to try some of the other menu items, but I can't get past the pizza. Service is great. Good beer selection. My only gripe would be that I can't have a pizza delivered to Hamilton ;)

Best time with just my wife or when we have my kids. Food is outstanding and the staff is great plus for a few quarters challenge each other to skeeball!
Would go again. The pizza was good but the beer options were better. Ordered a salad that never arrived but it also didn't show up like magic on the bill either. It was crazy packed but it was also a Friday night and we were able to get a table for five without too much of a wait. Wish we'd ordered the hushpuppies after reading these reviews!! And once again, they have an exceptional beer selection!!
Having a punk rock pizza place is awesome- having the pizza actually rule is a dream! Good pizza is hard to find in Baltimore, but this place rules. I'm from CT and since I moved here I've been searching for sweet pizza- this place fits the bill. Their dough and sauce are really tasty. And they serve fried edamame that are totally rad. And having The Descendents and The Cure playing overhead instead of some crappy bar music is totally awesome- a safe haven from douchebaggery.
It has been considered one of the best Pizza Tavern in Baltimore. If you don't like chicken or pork pepperoni you will still be able to find veggie one as an option for your pizza. I wish they had Turkey pepperoni option as well. Owner has and interest on skateboarding. So you will find skating photos, TV shows and other visuals around the bar.
Very cool and laid back place. “Wild card” beer was a cool concept.
We had the huf puppies (vegan) and a trainwreck pizza with subbed in vegan mozzarella and vegan steak. The huf puppies were flavorful and moist! Pizza crust and toppings were outstanding.
Absolutely love this place! The food is great, it’s a relaxed, fun vibe and they have skeeball! The pizza was delicious both at the restaurant and heat up the next day. If you love a good pizza, this is the place to go!

Menu has good variety, including vegan options.
It wasn’t my favorite style of pizza. Felt like it was lacking cheese and sauce. That said, I would consider going back to try other options.

Always a great experience. One of my favorite vegan spots in the city. Great food great customer service great drinks. Even brought some family that’s not vegan and they loved the food too. My husband and I are a regular here, see y’all tonight ✨😁
This is a hidden gem by Patterson park. We sat outside and were served immediately. Fortunately they had a vegan week menu with a nice variety and the food was really well done. The portion sizes however are really small. Although we went during the happy hour time mentioned on their website we weren’t told about the specials nor was their any happy hour menu. Service was great. Strongly recommend

My wife and I stopped I'm for a quick lunch. Service was quick, and the staff was cool and friendly. Started with the watermelon salad with goat cheese and balsamic vinegar. Very good! Also got the primo pizza; delicious thin crust pizza!

Great service. The bathroom could use a mirror. I love the graffiti in the bathroom! Food comes out of the kitchen hot and so fast I almost got whiplash. The fries are reminiscent of Thrashers. There is absolutely nothing to complain about at this establishment. Great vibe. Great music. Hands down, one of the best Taverns in Baltimore!
