Memorable bento box. I was in Bakersfield last spring for work and happened upon this place for lunch one day. I am back again almost a full year later and all I can think about is making sure that I get another one!! Very few places have food that memorable. I can't recall the exact bento box I got, but I remember everything about it was great - the main dish, the salad, the tempura veggies - YUM! I will definitely be hitting this place up each time I come to Bakersfield.

Why would you order a salad at a Sushi Bar?!?!?!. Eating the halibut that is staring at me!! Always has good uni.

Excellent Sushi Chef. Bento Express is a great sushi spot with a first-rate young chef who really knows how to cut fish. The staff is friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere is relaxed and casual.

Favorite dishes are the sashimi salad and the baked mussels.

Good if you work downtown.. I've been in there a couple times. The sushi is good and the prices are decent. the only problem i had was with the salad. It was served with italian dressing? weird.
