Yelp did not disappoint - this place is fabulous!! We came in from San Antonio and were looking for a good local restaurant. Everything was delicious, the service was excellent and super fast!
Been going to ZUZUs in Austin since I was a kid. Never disappoints! I recommend the mole enchiladas & black beans - both fantastic!
Zuzu handmade food was delicious!! The salsa bar was great and offered a variety of choices. The marinated chicken breast with the roasted veggies and potatoes was tasty. The peach mango tea was refreshing.
Yummy food with some great options for both vegetarians as well as non-vegetarian food lovers. Food qty is also apt, quick service and decent price. Worth visiting!

This is a nice little restaurant hidden in the corner of a small business strip. They have well-organized ordering, with customers entering and immediately bring in line to order. Trouble is that at the register there is a bunch of "stuff" that partially hides the register. The counter is simply crowded.
They have a varied menu of standard Mexican food fare: tacos, burritos, nachos, quesadillas, fajitas, etc. Their vegetables are always very fresh and the various proteins are grilled and seasoned very well. They have fresh salsa of different intensity as well as fresh cilantro, pico, and other items to add to your meal. Currently, due to COVID precautions, they are individually packaged, and I find the servings to be more than adequate.
I'm a huge fan of their chicken tacos and chicken quesadillas. However, while always tasty, the quantity of chicken each time varies. Their steak tacos are really good too. They are tasty and filling and the cheese is just right.
There's nice outdoor seating that I recommend when the weather cooperates.
If you're in the area, this is a good place to stop in. Odds a very good you'll be satisfied with your meal.
We live in Dallas and have loved Zuzu's for 35 years. All stores have closed now and we are thankful that Austin has this fabulous Zuzu's still open and they have remained true to the fabulous recipes and fresh quality of their food. My recent experience was so good it almost made me want to move to Austin just to get to eat there daily. WONDERFUL.
The GM - Brandon Garcia - has a great attention to detail and I am sure this is why their food is so good and the experience is so fabulous! Now, if they will just open a store in Dallas! :)
My husband and I really enjoyed Zuzu’s! It’s a very relaxed atmosphere, the staff and really friendly, and the food is really good! We were pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food is and for such a reasonable price! We’ll definitely be back!
My first ZuZus visit was probably 20 years ago in North Dallas. Before you knew it there were probably a dozen ZuZus in the metroplex, but over time one by one they shut down. Those of us who loved ZuZus and still crave their hand made Mexican food will be happy to know that one ZuZus lives on and carries on the tradition here in Austin!
These are some of the greatest flautas I've ever had! I am astonished. The meat tastes good. There's no flavor of oil. You taste excellent flavor and meat.
This place has been one of my favorites for over a decade. I was a regular every Tuesday for their special but that seems to have gone away over the years. This place is still a hidden gem. They really flavor their food well and they have the best salsa bar in Austin! The corn relish and roast potatoes are amazing sides, their Mexican rice is one of the only disappointing things they serve. Great breakfast tacos but they're not cheap...
Definitely a must try place if you’re ever in town. We live in Dallas but we driver to Austin to have zuzu. We eat and drive back to Dallas at least once a month. Their food taste fresh, service is amazing. Can never go wrong with zuzu
Delicious, quick, and filling. You won’t regret stopping in for a bite to eat. Oh, and it’s reasonably priced! Family of 3 and we were all stuffed, for $21.
