Great addition to the east side! Enjoyed the cheese board and house white wine on the patio - all wonderful!
First sandwich I’ve had in the states that tasted like it did in Italy. Espresso was perfect. Great atmosphere, too!
It's hard to beat bread made from scratch, same-day. Not to mention homemade basil pesto, great atmosphere, friendly service, and high-quality meats and cheeses!
Sandwiches avg about $10-$13, but well worth it! Parking is difficult, but worth the extra walk to get here.
Atmosphere: Italian sidewalk cafe, upscale casual
Service: Gracious and efficient counter service
Food: Sandwichwmes, salads, antipasto and dessert offerings. The #3 panini is fantastic with prosciutto, buttery mozzarella, and arugula on fresh crusty bread.
Pricing: $13.00 for sandwich alone
I had a very good fresh mozzarella cheese, tomato, and basil sandwich. The bread was great; a thin crispy layer outside and warm and chewy inside. I also purchased a loaf of bread to take home. Glad this place is in my neighborhood!
I’ll admit the sandwiches here are pretty tasty 👍🏼. This is coming from someone who doesn’t normally eat cold sandwiches.
The ambience is really nice too. All of the staff are friendly and there are plenty of windows and light to fill the inside, and surprisingly lots of room on their patio.
The only thing about this place that keeps me from going more often is their prices. And I’ve heard that from multiple people, so I’m not just being stingy.
Excellent paninis. Ingredients are fresh and the bread is great. La Matta is a perfect lunch spot on the east side.
Such a cute little spot, felt very welcomed here. Their cheeseboard was incredible, we especially loved their roasted nuts, pistachios, and the crostini!
Fantastic lil sandwich shop across the street from the White Horse. Freshly baked bread combined with fresh greens and Italian cuts make for a damn tasty sandwich.
LOVE this place. The sandwiches and salads are all wonderful and the ingredients are simple and fresh. I am currently obsessed with the kale and burrata salad. Also, the service is always friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth a stop if you are looking for a more authentic feeling Italian cafe. Keep in mind they only serve breakfast and lunch.
This breakfast panini costs $4.50, and tastes incredible. This place rocks
Delicious food! The bread has the perfect crunch and soft center and the sandwiches are fantastic. I highly recommend the eggplant sandwich. The olive spread is nutty, salty and brings everything together.
I'll be back many times, maybe to buy some charcuterie plates to go too!
