I must admit that my review is mostly because the pad thai since that is the only thing I ever order. With that said, that dish is great! the sauce is always right and the noodles are always cooked great. I haven't been able to find another place that makes it quite like them.
This gringo says the Thai was authentic! It met my expectations for spice level (HOT!), and the lunch portion was just right. We both had chicken dishes (sorry, can't remember the names), and both were excellent. Service was good also.
The chicken pad thai here is incredibly rich and hearty. I haven't tried other menu items cause the pad thai is just too good to pass up. The shrimp spring rolls are great with the accompanying peanut sauce. The pad thai has a great balance of flavor and spice and it makes the dish great in any season.
A great meal at a good value. The staff was very friendly and the food came out really quickly. The ceiling decor was a nice touch - they had upside down colorful umbrellas covering the ceiling, giving the restaurant a comfortable and cheerful feel. Highy recommend going there. The portions are huge, allowing you to take some home for later!
If Thai places had a ranking, Madam Mam's would be right at the top. And then some. I have yet to have a dish here that isn't delicious and life changing, but the stand out is the Pad See Ew which I get every time just on the off chance that something won't be quite as delicious. Thai tea is the only way to wash it down and the sticky rice with mango is the perfect way to end the meal. Get it.
I have not found a better Thai place in Austin, and that's fine with me as Madam Mam's is the cream of the crop. I have eaten in this restaurant a couple of times and the food is always served extremely quick, and my girlfriend who is on a strange diet and always has special requests for ingredients being removed has no problem eating here. They almost always will modify the recipe for her.
More often though we do take out from here, and they have our food ready within 15 minutes of placing the order.
Besides the pad thai, I recommend the Pad Prik Khing (spicy curry paste on green beans and chicken).
Madam Mam's, or Sap's now, not so sure about the service. Apparently he has never eaten at another thai restaurant. But the food is really good. I had my normal pad thai. David has F3 with beef and I possibly have found a new favorite.
Best thai I have had in Austin. Period! The flat noodles are incredible, this spicy catfish dish they have is thermonuclear, the spring rolls the freshest.
My goto Thai place.

Love the pad thai, fried spring rolls and my all-time favorite the P10 (lemongrass soup with chicken)! Their chili paste is unfreakingbelievably tasty!!
