Black Girl Taco Chronicles sent Just A Girl From The 206 on a special assignment to Granny's Tacos in Austin, Texas. Thank God we stopped at Granny's Tacos! It was a great decision. The line may have been long, but the service was quick and we were able to find a spot to sit. The best part was that everything at Granny's Tacos is made from scratch using homemade, family recipes passed down through generations. You can really taste the difference in the salsas, marinades, and seasonings. We had a variety of tacos, including the Migas (corn chips, eggs, pico, cheese, avocado), Alambre (steak, chicken, bell peppers, chorizo, onion, bacon, jalapeño, cheese, avocado), Shrimp Taco (shrimp, onion, red & green cabbage, granny's dressing, cilantro, avocado), Birria, and Al Pastor. Every single one was absolutely delicious and rated a 10 out of 10. If you're in the area, be sure to stop by Granny's Tacos for some truly authentic and tasty tacos.
An unpretentious food truck, with no nonsense breakfast tacos. Nothing fresh new or different about them, but sometimes you just want the comfort of a simple potato egg and cheese taco, and it gave me that and then some. A lot of taco places try to reinvent something that in my mind is already perfect.
Got another quesadilla which I'm sure would have been delicious if it had been cooked properly. The veggies were pretty much raw so the heat made them add a lot of juice to the taco and the whole thing was just barely warm so the cheese wasn't melted. 🤢 I'm gonna take it home and pop it in the oven; hopefully that'll do the trick. Note the difference between my first one in picture 1 (which was absolutely delicious) and my recent one. Maybe I should have asked for well done? BTW, you might want to consider offering plastic ware to eat with.
Omg so good. Perfect way to start my visit in Austin. Excellent tacos. Wish I could’ve gone back to try more. Tacos were also really big! One was plenty which was great but also sad that I couldn’t try more haha. Salsas great too.
Their breakfast tacos are always so good! You can choose any 3 items to include in there. They take cards too. I also tried their campechano and birria tacos also and recommend them! There’s a small area with tables to eat on.
Giant delicious breakfast tacos for a great price. Takes a bit for them to come out if going around breakfast time on the weekend. Picnic tables to eat at right in front
Hands down the best breakfast tacos I've ever had. They're very generous with the fillings--we each had one taco and then didn't eat until about 2pm. They also have homemade corn tortilla chips--they come in a large bag, so plenty to share!
These were the best tacos we’ve had so far in Austin!! They were so good my husband went up and ordered two extra ones. So fresh and delicious!
The cashier was really nice. My husband ordered a breakfast burrito and I just asked them to give me their best-best sellers. if you are looking for typical street tacos, this is not the place. they are definitely tacos. the package seems small initially but honestly, the way they are stuffed they should be burritos. all were pretty good. they are heavy, so if you’re an average eater, two should be plenty. Don’t recommend if you’re looking for something light and fresh.
I had a great experience at this taco truck. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the price was right. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great breakfast taco. I got two tacos, but I could have easily eaten just one. They were so good that I couldn't stop eating though
