Definitely one of my favorite pizza places. I do enjoy these themed pizza places with thought put into the menu and the decor. I am a fan of the art and the neat layout with lots of beautiful hard polished wood and hidden booths. The pizza is good. I am a huge fan of deep dish when done right, and Conan's does not disappoint. It is a wonderful, fluffy dough and isn't under done after cooked that some deep dishes tend to be. The cheese pull is one of my favorite things about this pizza. The sauce flavor and amount is not my favorite, but it didn't ruin it for me at all. And the cheese bread, is a wonderful surprise, for the price it was well more than I anticipated. I wish I had been told about the buffet option as I would have loved to have tried it if only for how great the salads look. I will be back to try it next time. The beer selection is another pleasant surprise. A good selection. One of my favorite, but silly things, is the type of ice. Those small ice chips are my weak spot. We enjoyed our first visit and the second was just as great. This is will probably be a routine pizza stop for us.
I've been coming here off and on since my early college days and it have never changed. Conans has remained VERY good pizza, very high quality and worth the "gourmet pizza" price you pay to eat there. They serve the best deep dish pizza I've ever had (I strongly suggest the Savage sans anchovies). These guys really know what they're doing! Don't forget the beer; the Savage is quite delicious with some Shiner Bach to wash it down.
We’ve been eating pizza at Conan’s for over 20 years. We love the sauce and the dough of the pizza, it has almost a sweetness to it. We get the deep dish pepperoni and hamburger every time. It’s always consistent on taste! We usually pair it with a glass or two of wine, they have a newer wine supplier and it’s so smooth and easy to drink for wine by the glass.
I came here for dinner for my last day visiting Austin. I got the basil pesto pizza with fajita chicken and oregan-dough, and it was delicious! My family shared the garlic bread, which was pretty good. They also got a salad, a pepperoni pizza, a spicy Hawaiian calzone, and a savage deep dish. Everyone was happy with their food. I adored the decor from the plants to the fairy lights to the custom tables. The staff was super chill and welcoming. I will definitely be visiting again next time I'm in the area.
Whenever I visit home for a weekend, I try to eat my favorite kind of pizza—A Conan’s Pizza. The Savage with garlic is my favorite—thick crust, tangy sauce, flavorful meats. All yum!! Brings back childhood memories. So glad it’s still around.
From the moment I walked in I knew I made the right choice. From the Conan the Barbarian murals on the mirrors to the First bite of deep dish 😋 that had a delightfully crispy undercarriage. No flop! Sauce is delightful, cheese and fresh ingredients were on point as well! I'll be trying the thin crust and calzones next...P.S. Salad selection and ingredients were great and I tried the honey vinaigrette dressing 🤤 delicious 😋
I live in San Antonio, so we don’t have a Conan’s but whenever I go to Austin, this is my go-to pizza place! My favorite is the deep-dish pepperoni or bacon cheddar burger pizza! Yum!

The day I came in they had samples of wine by a local company owned by women. @drinkboxt it was very good. The alcohol selection is decent. They have several things on tap. I ordered the cheese bread. It’s a small baguette covered with cheese. The bread is slightly sweet and very soft. If you dip it with the marinara it becomes a bit tangy and is great either way. I highly recommend this over the cheese sticks. I also ordered a Cesar salad. I liked the salad but they put too much dressing and I had to mix it myself which is fine. The size is good the flavor is good. I ordered a large cheese thin crust pizza 🍕 I quite enjoyed it. The cheese combo is great. The sauce on the pizza is light which I like. It’s also VERY flavorful. I was very surprised at how much flavor the sauce had. I recommend the thing crust pizza. Overall I will come back the vibes are chill and the atmosphere is great.
I’m mad at myself for just trying Conan’s for the first time. First of all the place looks awesome. The booths have so much character and it’s fun to just hang out. Next is the people working there are super friendly and fun. We got the cheese garlic bread as an appetizer and I could of ate five more plates of it. The bread was soft and had lots of flavor. Last but not least the pizza is great. We got the meater deep dish and it did not disappoint. Looking for a chill place to get some pizza in Austin, this is it!
Deep- dish pizza was great. The place has a character. The staff is on point.
What missing is a little consideration to women needs in a bathroom. For example, a changing table of some sort. With all do respect to the main concept, the majority of women are still real, they need to change dippers not on the floor or dining table, but something more suitable for the task. Also, as it happens often, women cary stuff, so a hook may help as well.
I ordered the small deep dish pizza and really enjoyed it. The ambience is interesting and reminds of an old pizza place in Chicago.
Once you order at the counter, there is no way for the server to know where you are seated, so he or she, has to roam through the restaurant to find the customer. Seems very inefficient...
2 small pizzas, side salad and a beer were $50. I thought that was rather expensive.

This local pizza chain was an amazing experience. First it's hard to find good Chicago style deep dish in Texas. Most places just make the crush extra thick and call it deep dish, as you can see by the photos this is not the case. When we arrived we were helped at the counter by Moon. I think they recognized the look in our eyes and our inexperience at Conans and gently led us to some great pizza choices. Even sharing a few menu "hacks" along the way. The wheat crust pizza was also recommended as being "what they are known for" so of course we had to try it. We are so glad we did and will definitely be back. The decor has paintings from or inspired by Frank Frazetta and they added some awesome '80s flare to the decor. We ordered some pizza rolls with some oregano on top and you can see from the photo they were stuffed with some insanely stringy tasty mozzarella. The pizza though was the star of the show. We ordered a Savage (basically a supreme) and it was piled high with toppings with the sauce on top (as Moon suggested). All in all one of the best pizza's I've ever had.
