I've been here quite a few times and I'll definitely keep coming back. 4.25 Dos Equis during happy hour and amazing food- great hidden gem. Try the stuffed avocado!
I'm not a fan of chiles rellenos but sometimes I crave them. This place had one that was really enjoyable. It was stuffed well and the fried coating wasn't messy like others I've come across. I enjoyed the cheese enchilada but it wasn't the star. The beans were good but the rice wasn't all that memorable.
Also, the white dip and salsa were very addicting. Great place and service!
Driving through Austin and feel lucky to have found this restaurant. Small, unassuming and family-friendly with very friendly staff. Our meals were very good (Carne Guisada burrito and Steak a la Mexicanas) but most impressive were the handmade corn and flour tortillas and the flan, which we first said no to. So glad we changed our mind and shared the dessert. It was delicious! We would be regulars if this were in our neighborhood.
If you're white and like N. Austin "Mexican" food this place is for YOU!!! It's ok, the building is a bit run-down, waitress is clueless about menu and bar, food is made dry, and the atmosphere is dull....Not my forte...
This place is great!! Edwin is awesome! Margaritas are wonderful and cheap!! :) new favorite Tex-Mex!
Excellent customer service and food!! And their bloody mary's are SO great

Great place for Supper! Always Delicious Food and Margaritas!
Delicious dishes. Friendly staff. My first time here. The carne guisada was tender and so tasty, and the shrimp dish was large and excellent.

The food is Mexican food, nothing special about it. But it is delicious. The service could have been a little better. Had to ask for certain things that should be a given. Such as napkins, silverware, etc. But they were friendly and helpful. Atmosphere is a Bit small but nice. The happy hour is great. Most places just do Monday through Thursday, but they do Fridays as well. If it was not happy hour I wouldn't pay for the drinks because of the size, but happy hour makes it all better.
Best Tex Mex I've had. The chili relleno was beautiful, and the chimichanga had more going on than just being stuffed with meat and fried. Got there early and it got packed anyways. Will definitely be back.
10/10 food and service. I ordered a Plate a la Mexicana and it was delicious!
As of October 2020, this is my favorite Mexican food spot.
The google reviews did not steer us wrong. The jalapeño cream sauce that they bring out with the chips is phenomenal. The chips were great also, perfectly crispy and flavored.
The service was very attentive. Would definitely come back (often).
This place is a gem, especially if you’re looking for more traditional Mexican food options and not just tex mex.
Their breakfast tacos are so good! Home made tortillas are on point!
Plus they have menudo on the weekends, which is on par with my great grandma’s and is amazing!
It’s not fancy, it’s not trendy, but the food is amazing and the service is great!
My family and I love this place. We’ve been eating here for years, everything on this menu is good. The down side is waiting for the the food, it can take a while to get your food. If you choose to dine in, make sure you have a little extra time. My favorite are the beef fajita nachos. They put plenty of beef so you get what you pay for. They other thing we really enjoy on a cold day is their tortilla soup. I’ve included pictures of both. Sorry, we were already eating when I took it.
Love love their food there and the wait staff is wonderful. I haven't been there in a while and one of the waitress said "your daughters aren't joining you?". I thought that was very nice of them.
