This has been my favorite sushi place in Austin for years. Hands down the best lunch specials and happy hour (and the most availability of happy hours by far), yeah the service isn’t always the fastest, but if you sit at the bar you will be taken care of quickly. Their fish always taste fresh, the vegetable tempura is excellent, and I love the coconut shrimp which is paired with pickled onions and cucumbers, I wish I could just order that to take home extra! I love you guys!
Great happy hour deals. Right in the middle of downtown, so great location. Sake was on point!
This is a good choice for a sushi spot downtown. It serves up basic sushi fare but it is always consistent in quality and there is usually a seat available. We stopped in last night. BarChi did not disappoint. Our server, Jay, was phenomenal. He was very nice, coordinated and always smiling. Our food came out beautifully presented and on time. Highlights included king oyster mushrooms, tempura, spicy scallop handroll, and inari. After a dining fiasco at another restaurant the night prior, it was a pleasure to have Jay as our server. We will definitely come back.
So great. If you're looking for a nice date night dinner/lunch definitely worth it. The sushi pizza was fresh and the truffle oil was amazing. We came during happy hour so it was a little less expensive, we got two rolls, tea, sushi pizza and a pot sticker appetizer. Well worth the money, will be coming back in the future!
the cocktails were great, we tried a few different ones and i was impressed with all of them. The avocado rolls were good and reasonably priced. The staff was friendly and helpful. i will def be back soon
Wonderful sushi with a great atmosphere. Highly recommend the filet mignon skewers!
Amazing!! Great foods!
Austin Rolls : The best! Very decent Japanese style, it's super with wasabi soy sauce.
Volcano Rolls : Crunchy crabs added on California rolls. I could expect the taste and it was meeting my expectation!
Flying Dragons : Very good with eel wrapped around rolls!
Chili garlic edamame : Good choice for side! A bit salty so it would be good for beers
Coleyworld approved! 💜
Definitely one of my favorite sushi restaurants. I love the downtown vibe and they have a great happy hour menu. I got there right on time this last time to get 4 martinis in before 7pm (two watermelon and two cucumber) while we waited to be seated. We didn't make rezzies so had to wait 20 minutes. I also ordered the spicey edamame, of course, from the happy hour menu.
We get hot sake pretty much whenever we go because it just goes with everything.
I got the Green Dragon Roll🐉🐲 last time and it was bomb 💣! It's the no asterix sushi, so it was cooked, which I like. My fiancé (shout out to @HKStages) ordered the Geisha and the Rainbow and there was nothing left on his plate.
The bar tender is awesome and on point with service!
2023 update: place is still bomb and in my top favorite spots to eat ever. Ceviche 🤤🤤🤤
The atmosphere and service were good. Food was also delicious. Menu was left something to be desired and was quite limited. Did not "wow me" but did not disappoint.
I never liked sushi until I tried out Barchi!
I drive from a hour away just for them!!
Never disappoints!!
Was there for a friend's birthday and the service was great. They were attentive and accommodating for us. I ordered 3 rolls and they were big portions and decently priced! They have great happy hour deals as well, so try to get there early. They also have a discount for parking at the AMLI garage so you don't have to search for parking!
Great rolls, fresh fish, tremendous service from our waiter, Reggie. The pace of the meal was perfect, and everyone was very happy with their choices.
Restaurant was too dark to easily read the menu (I saw at least three other tables having to use the flashlight on their phones to see their menus), too warm, (way) too noisy for conversation with friends, and there are not enough bathrooms for the number of people packed in there (each time I visited, there was a line 5-deep waiting for two single-use rooms). Seats don't "breathe" so after sitting for an hour, your pants are stuck to the backs of your legs.
