Where to start? Epoch is one of the few businesses in Austin that I have stood by since I moved here almost 6 years ago. There is a charm to everything that goes on here. The occasional community events, the characters you’ll meet, the music on the speakers, these are all things you’ll only find at Epoch. The baristas are all super nice, so be nice to them. They tend to know a lot about the menu and various coffee beans being sold, so feel free to ask questions! Students are often here during the school year, especially on weekends, so be prepared for busy on those days. There’s a lot to be said about the coffee. As someone who usually only gets espresso drinks, the extraction and foam skills are almost always perfect. I also highly recommend the iced half-mojo, a tremendous sweet drink that is halved with cold brew. It’s perfect for getting focused on whatever you’re working on. Sometimes the place is too busy to adequately use the wifi and sometimes the music may not be your cup of tea, but all of that just makes this place human and unique, in a city of too many boring coffee shops. If you come here often, you’ll learn to love each barista and they’ll learn to love you back. I appreciate Epoch for staying open 24/7, keeping a space for anyone to visit when they need a place to go. The very few times I’ve seen someone causing a problem, being hateful, or generally being a nuisance, they’ve been quickly asked to leave. I also appreciate them for hosting community events: open mic’s, clothing donations, and overdose prevention workshops. All is this is only boosted by the fact there are other locations not too far away that have their own charm, and the coffee is superb at every one. Go give it a try!

Apparently, this cafe is on the top of the list of coffee spots in Austin. Nestled few miles from the bustling University of Texas in Austin, this 24/7 coffee haven is a true gem for caffeine enthusiasts and students. As I stepped into this cozy establishment, I was instantly drawn to its vibrant atmosphere. The place buzzed with activity; students engrossed in their textbooks, friends catching up over steaming cups of coffee, and some focused on their laptops, lost in their own worlds. One of the first things that caught my eye was the abundance of parking spaces, a rare find in this bustling city. However, a word of caution – steer clear of the Breakaway Records business parking and disabled spaces unless you want your vehicle towed away. The coffee here is simply divine. With each sip of my chai latte, I could taste the authenticity and the meticulous craftsmanship that went into every cup. Their commitment to quality extends beyond the drinks; they offer a variety of coffee beans for purchase and have an enticing selection of merchandise, including coffee mugs and t-shirts. It's a coffee lover's dream come true. What struck me the most about this place was its versatility. Whether you're here to study, work remotely, or simply savor a cup of coffee, it caters to all. I chose a sunny Sunday afternoon with temperatures in the mid-80s to prepare for my certification exam. It was a splendid experience, with the perfect blend of tranquility and energy in the air. I've already made up my mind to return on a weekday, trading my home office for the chance to meet new faces and soak in the vibrant ambiance once more. If you're an ardent coffee connoisseur or just someone in search of an inviting spot to relax and work, this 24/7 coffee place near the University of Texas is a must-visit. It's no wonder it's known for serving the best coffee in Austin. "We filter coffee, not people"🤎 (please go thru the pictures I've uploaded)

Came here to have morning coffee. We had a latte and an iced latte. Dine-in drinkware was nice. I liked my latte and my wife's iced latte was fine but maybe iced wasn't the best choice since it was pretty cold inside. Service was friendly, atmosphere was pleasant, and there were inviting and comfy seats inside and ample seating outside. Almost missed the place because I didn't see a business sign on the building--but I did spot their sign by the road. Parking was easy, though. Nice coffee shop.

My favorite third place in the 512. I met some great people and love the message of inclusivity in this space. Leaving a review specifically today because the playlist was amazing. It was like a jazz/funk fusion and it put me in my work grove immediately while bobbing my head. 10/10 whoever's playlist that was please send it 11/9/23 at 1pm.

TLDR: aesthetically quirky, deliciously satisfying coffee. I’m glad I put this place on my Austin coffee stop list. I ordered a macchiato, after confirming that it’s a traditional Italian style macchiato. It was pretty nice. The espresso was well balanced, and had a beautiful little milk foam heart on top. My second drink was a cappuccino. I can’t say the espresso is the best espresso. I’d say something like second tier top shelf. The aura of this place is roomy and chill. The staff were friendly but professional. Got to the point without much extra banter, but in a refreshing way. The space is great. Outdoor seating on at least two sides of the building, and two large spaces for working inside. This whole area of Austin here on the street feels somehow artsy meets privilege meets progressive meets poverty. It’s a very welcoming vibe. A record shop and vintage shop share the rundown shopping center, and all along this road is more of the same. The clientele here was so diverse. I saw the biker (cyclist and motorcycle both) the student, the homeless (based solely on superficial observations)the artist, the business professional, the “soccer mom”, and the remote worker. The vibe of the place and a good cup of coffee makes this is a fun place to stop.

Coffee is delicious, the atmosphere is great, and it's open 24 hours a day. Service was fairly fast and staff was nice. It's a great place to hang out with friends and talk for a couple of hours. Overall, it was the best coffee shop i have been to.

Who doesn't like a warm fuzzy 24/7 cafe? I had the best mellow time with some friends after dancing in a bar. The cafe had some nice music and good plants hanging from the ceiling. I loved the hot chocolate for a change. I typically havent liked hot chocolate anywhere in Austin, but it was really good here. I asked for a strong hot chocolate and it tasted really nice

24hrs coffee shops are essential part of urban life and a clear line between towns and cities (per me). Plenty sitting area, communal style, outside. Inside there is a chance to have your “own” space, if you are lucky. I appreciate the option of savory pastry. Not all of us out-there running on a “sugar rush”. As it usually goes, such place is a magnet for all the misfits => great ppl watching spot.

Great place. I remember coming up here from Houston in the middle of the night one time and seeing the coffee shop full of people! I still go here. Delicious coffee. The jam biscuit was terrible. I asked to heat it up but it still didn't taste good. Could've been a bad batch, or their bakery just isn't up to the mark. But they are a coffee shop and they make great coffee. The vibe is good. My friend even worked there one day and really enjoyed it. Good place to chill or study or work from.
