The Alamo has been the only chain of theaters we will attend for years. The “silence zone” policy, comfortable seating, and food/bar service place it far ahead of a “traditional” movie going experience. The Alamo never disappoints.
Love the Village location the staff are great and I always have a great experience! I highly recommend the Espresso chocolate shake - so delicious!
Saw the 20th anniversary showing of Elf and had the cauliflower crust vegan pizza. The pizza was amazing and everything about the movie (volume, picture quality, etc) was perfect. Highly recommend this Alamo location. Great food. Great service.
Always a good time at Alamo. This location is smaller and looks a little dated, but it adds to the charm! Service was great and food was amazing. I got loaded fries and an IPA. Service fee is added to your bill!!
Massive shout out to Katie and Brendon who helped us last night. I'd messed up my ticket order, and they were accommodating and chill and saved the theater experience for us! (Plus we'd driven through that torrential downpour that was surprisingly scary on the road.) The wait staff and folks delivering food from the kitchen were so patient, though we'd mixed up the seats and orders. Though I'm not ever going to try to make the same mistake again, Alamo Village location just won a life-long fan!
We really enjoy watching movies at Alamo. Large spacious seats with ample leg room and front row reclining seat. The menu is hit or miss, some items are great like the fried Pickles and some just ok, but hey it's a movie theater and not a restaurant 😉
Lots of fun! Great movies coming up, some with appearances! Limited but great menu for an afternoon to kick back with your feet up! Waiters & waitresses first class!
The food is simple but all delicious. The employees are always super friendly. And since I started going to alamo drafhouses I stopped going to other theaters. I don't feel really care about the experience. I will say it's not a cheap dat, but the quality is great.
Alamo Drafthouse is my favorite theater in Austin. The experience always feels so personal and fun! I love the extras they include before a movie starts and the food is delicious. I highly recommend!
The Alamo Drafthouse experience is really great. I love going to the movies here. Food is tasty. The Village location only loses a star because its facilities feel really old and a little worn out.
Loved the movie and the food was really good. Staff was amazing. Bathrooms were so clean. But the place itself could use some updates. The theater seats were worn down and many had cracks. Table was small and set in place so my pregnant daughter had to squeeze in. No way she could sit there now at 5 months along. The overall feel was of an old school movie theater…but some of that was not in the good, retro way. It was more in the letting things go way.
The Drafthouse is known for good beer, great food, and an excellent film selections. This location hits all those markets perfectly. The venue only holds a few screens due to it being a smaller building. That makes the parking a little crowded, and the same is true for the restroom. Once you're in your theater you should expect exactly the same experience as any other Drafthouse - wonderful. It's as good am experience as you'll have anywhere else.
