Absolutely loved our experience at Foreign and Domestic tonight! Happy hour is awesome and very worth it! Half off appetizers and wine glasses from 5-6:30 during the week. The popovers and gnocchi are unbelievable! We both loved the cozy restaurant and being able to watch the kitchen do their thing right in front of us. Amazing service and food! Very cool that this place has been featured on shows like Triple D and Bizarre foods! Will definitely return!

Brunch is my favorite meal of the day and the egg sandwich here did not disappoint! I also loved the zucchini bread and popovers. Coffee was freshly brewed and vibes were impeccable. Highly recommend for a Sunday brunch with friends

Fun, buzzy place that's served Austin foodies since 2010. Imaginative menu, fresh local ingredients, playful flavors... some a bit too salty for me. Nice wine list with pairing suggestions. Perfect place for entertaining or nights out. There is outdoor seating but heaters were not working, making it a no-go for us. Everything was yummy: grits with Chanterelle mushrooms, Popovers with jalapenos, green salad with pears and pecans, grilled sea bass on bed of creamed corn, roast pork shoulder with blackened peas. Very good sides are good size to share too.

Wow I’m impressed by the service and foods at this place! I agree with all other reviews that they really went extra miles to provide the best service! I had a very pleasant experience dining here with my boyfriend. This is a very unassuming place with outstanding service. It was very popular and crowded inside when we arrived at 7:30pm on a weekday. Street parking was very easy to find. We waited 15 minutes for our table so the restaurant was so nice to offer their popovers for free. Every staff we encountered was so friendly and passionate, which made the entire experience very nice. We came here particularly for the popovers but at the end I was so happy with everything else we ordered and I would say the other dishes were surprisingly good! It’s funny that at the end the popovers is my least favorite (don’t get me wrong they were still very good) because the foods were just that good here if you know what to order! We had popovers, gnocchi, pork collar, sword fish and fenugreek custard. The popovers were huge and very fluffy inside with a crispy surface. Pork collar is so tender and juicy and the creamy corns underneath were so good! My bf and I loved it so much that we were saying if we came here a second time we would get definitely get double pork collars! The swordfish was way better than I expected as I am usually not a fan of flaky fish but this one had a very firm and unique texture that I have to admit I enjoyed every bite. The curry sauce went very well with the fish. Gnocchi was very soft and cushiony yet a little crispy. Lastly the fenugreek custard was just wow! I don’t know why some reviews said it tasted weird but both of us loved it so much. It’s super creamy and not overly sweet. As someone who’s not a big fan of desserts, this one got my heart. The texture and flavor profile was just unique and excellent (it’s probably one of the best desserts I’ve had). Overall I would say the food here tend to be on the salty side but that’s not a big deal since they were so flavorful and delicious! The bill was about $85 and we both both very full at the end. It was such a great experience dining here and I would definitely come back if I visit Austin again!

Their tasting menu was delicious and perfect😋 Veal sweetbread was perfect texture. Loved Capra lamb heart, also perfect texture. Then lastly Foie mousse peanut glass, amazing! Bravo. We need to try gruyere and black pepper popovers next time.

We’ve now lived in Austin for 3 months and visited many times prior…this place is the best restaurant we’ve visited in the city so far! Came on a Saturday night with 2 other couples and all were throughly impressed, with EVERYTHING, except the dessert. Nose to tail is a great motto, we had some sweetbreads, excellent pâté, and even a few dishes with heart - all very impressive. No need of go into detail on any particular dishes since menu changes all the time, but you won’t be disappointed with anything. We also loved that not the whole table has to get the tasting menu, nice way to try everything if you have a larger group. Can’t wait to be back!

Zach was a fantastic host and server. He accommodated us even though we did not have a reservation and the place was busy. He went out of our way to make sure we had a good dining experience. Very friendly staff and fantastic food.

Simply the best. I’ve been dreaming about coming back for these gnocchi for months. Gnocchi, green beans & steak tartar + cute space, truly excellent service & nice location = perfection. Next level delish! Highly (highly) recommend!

Fantastic female owned and operated spot. For dinner - Get the counter if you can!! Watching this kitchen run is a show in and of itself. The food is phenomenal. I love brunch and dinner equally here. Support this local gem!!! That ‘bay’ flavored ice cream is next level. It is true foodie ice cream (like you see chefs try to do on tv but sounds gross?). This is what elevated dessert is meant to be. Nuanced, interesting, layered, and delicious.

Foreign and Domestic is, without a doubt, the crown jewel of Austin's culinary scene. This restaurant holds a special place in my heart, as it has consistently delivered incredible dining experiences that leave me craving more. I've had the privilege of indulging in a variety of dishes here, each one more memorable than the last. The venison tartar is a masterpiece, a symphony of flavors and textures that exemplifies the culinary artistry of Foreign and Domestic. The Rabbit Roast, Pumpkin Ravioli, and Mushroom Gnocchi are equally outstanding, showcasing the chef's skill in combining ingredients to create dishes that are both comforting and extraordinary. Brunch at Foreign and Domestic is an experience like no other. Their homemade pancakes, adorned with hand-whipped whipped cream, are pure bliss on a plate. And let's not forget the Cheddar Biscuits – they're the stuff of legends. Every bite is a reminder that this restaurant goes above and beyond to craft the perfect meal. Beyond the exceptional food, what truly sets Foreign and Domestic apart is their impeccable service. The staff here are the epitome of professionalism, always attentive to the guests' needs and providing a level of hospitality that's second to none. They create an atmosphere that makes every visit feel like a special occasion. As a loyal patron, I can confidently say that I'll keep coming back to Foreign and Domestic for years to come. It's not just a restaurant; it's an experience that captures the essence of Austin's vibrant food scene. Thank you to the entire team for consistently exceeding expectations and for making every visit a memorable one. Foreign and Domestic, you are the standard by which I judge all other dining establishments. Here's to many more delectable moments and unforgettable meals!
