We have not been to Torchy's in a while, but since we had an out of town guest, we wanted to bring her to an Austin institution. The food has always been consistent and fairly good. I mostly come for the salsas. We ordered 3 tacos and chips & guacamole. I typically ask for extra salsas at the front register where we pay. The young lady working on September 21 st @2:00 PM, gave us only 2 salsas. When I asked her for extra salsas, she gave me some major attitude as if I was asking her for her personal stash. I had to ask my partner to get her to give me additional salsas. And even then she doled out one at a time... I know this is just a job, not a career, but can we be more respectful of our customers. Thank you.
This place is a great choice for any meal in the day! I came here for breakfast tacos and was NOT disappointed. The food and options are solid and the queso is great! There's plenty of parking on the street and additional spots behind the building. There's a fair amount of seating inside and outside, and plenty to look at on this street after you eat. Make sure to visit if you're in the area!
Came here for a quick lunch on my visit to Austin. I loved the wide variety of tacos and different sauces. I opted for the tipsy chick with a side of bacon bourbon jam and it was well stuffed, juicy, and flavorful. My friends got the shrimp tacos, pulled carnitas, and beyond meat tacos which were all very good as well. Service was fast and friendly!
My son just moved to Austin and we discovered this gem.
The food was delicious and the lady at the counter was a sweetheart.
Who new Texmex was this good.
Came a second time to try new tacos and to take some pics this time.
For this Chicagoan it's like Portillos for tacos. IYKYK.🙃. Good food, simple fun clean decor, order at the counter food delivered to your table. Street corn was very good.
Flagship location in a happening part of town. All of the usual tacos and chips. Classic building design (renovated from a local hamburger joint). Not a particularly large location, but with relatively decent parking versus its size. Cool little devil!
Great branch of an Austin based restaurant chain. It is one of the quickest locations when it comes to service. The food is always solid. Very accommodating to dietary needs: picky kids, low carb adults, vegetarians.
This is a great quick service spot and it has it’s own parking, which on SoCo is a real bonus.
My kids love the classic breakfast tacos. I love crossroads in a bowl.
Not your authentic taco but still good food. I got a potato and egg breakfast taco and the Crossroads with no cheese, which was a brisket taco. It’s a little on the pricier side for tacos. It’s not very memorable but glad we tried them. We came back another day just for chips and queso and I’d definitely recommend it. It had a bit of a kick and some guac on top- very good. Big fan of the queso.
The Mgr or gentleman who had a crew cut that was working there, was very helpful and let me tell you, I couldn’t ask for a better experience for my first time and thank you JR of Fort Wayne for pointing us in that direction and best Tacos hands down and the secret was amazing

Truly enjoyed the experience at Torchy's. Nice selection of different tasty taco-lishus treats including; but not limited to Fried Avocado, Green Chile Pork as well as fun flavors like the Democrat, Republican and Trailer Park. I enjoyed taking pics with their Championship title - definitely a nice piece in their collection of wall goodies. They have inside and outdoor seating (pets are allowed outdoors). Place is clean, staff is polite and the food is good - WIN.
