It was excellent food and service. We had the taco platter/board. You get a choice of 5 different ones. We had the Carnetas, pork cheek, fish, steak, and fried chicken tacos. We swapped the rice and beans for roasted corn. It was all amazing. If I had to pick a favorite it would probably have to be the Carnetas, or the pork cheek. If there is any negatives it would have to be the size of the tables. They bring so much food out there is hardly enough room with drinks and chips. The salsa is excellent as well, but the one they have marked as "seriously, seriously hot" is not really. They do have a large selection of hit sauces though. Prices are more than reasonable in my opinion. We will definitely be back.
Had an amazing experience a couple nights ago at this joint. The food was spot on. Executive chef Jack McGinn suggested many items from the menu and they were all fantastic. Hard to pick a favorite but the fried chicken tacos and the grilled scallions were definitely at he too of the list. Spectacular service and a fun atmosphere made the entire experience memorable. We were so happy with the meal that we got a gift certificate to give to a chef friend of ours.
The chicken quesadilla is out of this world. It took 40 minutes to get them but would had gladly wait 80 minutes, that’s how good this was!!
They put Mexico to shame, those fine Afro-American are the real Mexican deal.
The food here is excellent! I eat here a lot since i work in the airport. I highly recommend the fried chicken taco (with no cilantro unless you love cilantro). Their nachos are really good too and come with queso. I did read some of the other reviews that mention them being slow and i can attest to this if you go there in between breakfast and lunch. I believe they are short employees so they can be a tad slow when they are short handed. But if you can wait-its worth it! The food tastes great and they are all really nice.
Quiet at 6 PM Wed. This is in the best terminal (F) upstairs. They fired up the grill for me. It tasted fresh and well done compared to most of the airport food I’ve had. Simple menu but good ingredients in friendly service. Small but good tacos and tasty cheesy quesadillas.
Flew through ATL and stopped here for lunch. I agree with the comments regarding the service - it’s pretty atrocious. I only had 1 other person ahead of me and it took over 10 mins to get through the line. The guy at check out seemed like he wasn’t even aware he was on planet earth. Once I finally got up, I ordered nachos with the chicken in a cup on the side…. I think that’s a pretty easy, straight forward order. This dude just stared blankly at me like he hadn’t a clue in the world what I was saying. His manager piped in and said that was fine and to put the order in and he continued to just stare right through me, utterly confused. It was very odd. Otherwise, though, I thought the food was really yummy. The nachos came with a small portion each of jalapeños, sour cream, guacamole and pico. I have a really sensitive stomach and I was admittedly nervous to eat here, but my stomach reacted just fine. Overall if you have the time (we had a 2+ hour layover) I would definitely recommend eating here, despite the shotty service.
While traveling, I stopped at the Original El Taco and ordered the Pollo Asado. The blend of flavors was so good. The grilled chicken was tender, the guac was flavorful, and the pineapple jimaca was slammin’. My meal was delectable oveall!&
Very very surprised to find such delicious food in an airport! Everything tasted fresh and the chips in the nachos were Crunchy good!
