This place is Legit ! I'm from San Diego and these burritos and tacos are the real deal. The carne Asada is to die for and the chili relleno burrito or taco are what dreams are made from. I've lived in GA for 27 years, and the day I found this , I cried. Finally, true food from Mexico. Not Tex Mex, not south western. Mexican food. Go!

Amazing. A taco drive through is just what I needed. I wish there was one of these on every corner instead of taco bell. The chicken tacos are so good, like so good. Amazing flavor, the right amount of heat, and some type of super awesome green chile sauce. Thank God I found this place. I wish I had a picture to show you but I ate it too fast.
El Taco Veloz is located at 5084 Buford Hwy NE, Doraville, GA 30340 next to Marisqueria El Veneno on the left, right where Buford Hwy and Shallowford Rd cross. It's an old converted dry-cleaners with the wings on either side for the drive-through - there's a small space in front that's covered but unheated or cooled where you can sit out of the heat and enjoy your delicious Mexican specialties.
Awesome!. Good food at a good price. I see reviews complaining about it not being authentic but this definitely beats the hell out of Taco Bell or Del Taco! 6 bucks for a steak burrito that is delicious is a no brainier! Keep the it coming!!

Barbacoa was moist & Pastor was smokey & spicey. Basic authentic onion & cilantro garnish. Had a spicy pork tamale too, which tasted fresh & moist. Not really a restaurant - more like a roadside stand with some picnic table style seating. Worth a visit!
Not bad. I had the pollo, carne asada, and barbacoa tacos. All three were good, and at a decent price. My only complaint is that the tacos were on the smaller side. They came with onion, cilantro, salsa verde and two corn tortillas.

More please. This was my first buford highway experience. I live in East Atlanta. So, it was quite the trip. But, definitely as delicious as most of the reviews say. Authentic mexican. My favorite part is the onion/cilantro sauce they put on the tacos. I got the beef and chicken. Both are spicy, but not intolerable. I will definitely go back to Buford Highway. But, I recommend bringing along an experienced buford highway friend. LOTSSS of food options out there.
Great, authentic, mexican food. I ate the chile relleno taco which was SO GOOD. It was just a little under $3 so not too bad a price.
They had a couple options for vegetarians, and probably no vegan options (unless you get a bean burrito sans cheese).
Small place, some tables outside, drive through, fast, legit.

Tacos are perhaps my favorite fast food; but I wouldn't call myself a Taco purist. I really enjoy Taco Bell and Chipotle at times. Obviously, depending on their source, all tacos cannot be judged the same.... A perfect taco should be two corn tortillas, a large portion of protein, and a light topping of onion and cilantro. Once you start splattering on cheese, sour cream, and guacamole you are just making an open-faced burrito. El Taco Veloz is the closest taqueria to me and therefore the designated first taco I have had at my new house in Doraville. El Taco Veloz has a well organized website, that is unusual for small taco joints, unfortunately the diner itself is a hodge-podge of pictures of words that looks like the bedroom wall of a paranoid schizophrenic. I came prepared to see the menu I looked at online but the prices were completely different, the internet menu had several more items listed, and the menu board was in such disrepair I couldn't read what was listed. El Taco Veloz isn't dirty, it is just hapless...
The establishment is easy to locate and there is enough parking spaces. The place is small, but there are tables where you can sit. The food is lovely and well priced. Overall would recommend for a quick bite.
This is a simple authentic Mexican restaurant. The service was fast and friendly. Prices are also reasonable.
Although not on the menu, you can ask them for vegetarian tacos which are either avocado-based or beans & rice.

Drive thru authentic food?! Yes please! I saw this place on Yelp previously and decided to try them out since I was in the area and was a little short on time. It's a small building with inside seating and because of the cold weather they do have tarp up. You drive to the side of the building where the menu is located. Unfortunately there aren't many vegetarian options. I settled on the burrito especial with no meat which was $6.21. I drove to the window got my food within a couple minutes.
Once I got home I ate my burrito and it was pretty good. They also gave me a green salsa which was slightly spicy.
I will definitely be coming back to try some of their other options.
The food was absolutely delicious! We had burritos, and they were a meal by themselves. As far as the facility goes, it is a tiny hole in the wall with no indoor dining and very limited parking. But they have an outdoor covered patio, so you can sit and eat if you don't want to just go through the drive through.
I love El Taco Veloz! They have never failed to disappoint. I am always impressed by the quality, consistency, speed, and prices. The staff has always treated me well!

I love my taco veloz my Chile relleno tacos they are so delicious 😋 beans and rice plus my large water horchata or pineapple they always send my correct order when i do order delivery as well when i go and order thanks team ❤️
This is a good stop for a taco and aqua fresca. Many of the tacos are delicious, but at times they can become dry. The agua frescas are refreshing. I really enjoy getting the horchata. A big glass of that makes my day!
Love their food and how quickly we receive our order no matter how busy they are - and they are very busy! Always a great spot for our family for some yummy snacks when we crave Mexican food!
