Not sure why this place is listed as closed. Went here about a week ago on a Friday night with friends (unless it recently closed). ***DISCLAIMER: they are currently undergoing a change in ownership, so they temporarily do not serve alcohol.***
However, very quaint and cozy spot with delicious eats, drinks and hookah. Our server, Phylicia, was amazing and extremely patient with our party and suggested some of her menu favs, which were excellent choices. Plenty of flat screens located throughout, a spacious patio area and an option for a private room with flat screen. There is outdoor seating with a cute floral photo op area and fairly clean restroom facilities. Parking is very limited, so use rideshare or carpool, but overall definitely a place to check out.
My friend and I went to brunch on a Saturday. I had Augustine's breakfast platter (it came with the Dusse French toast). The food was good. I think this is really like a "no fuss"/no leftovers kind of brunch. The food came out really fast. The prices are not exorbitant. My friend had the catfish and grits.
We liked the mimosa setup. The full bottom of champagne was a surprise. Also, we got a side of a peach syrup for $1 and that made the mimosa sweet.
This sign is hilarious.
The food is unbelievable and fresh. We visited, but they didn't have air conditioning, diet coke, and alcohol sales. The servers were nice, but the lack of air was the biggest knock. Overall, I enjoyed the food and would come back
Visited on a Thursday with my fiancé. I had been wanting to visit this place for a while and the fact that they had a holiday theme was even more of a reason to visit.
Self parking on this day was $5, but there's street parking if you prefer that route. They have a front outside patio, a back outside patio, and of course the inside with bar seating as well. It was pretty dark inside but it was decorated with plenty of Christmas decorations.
We sat ourselves at one of the two person high top tables in the middle. We scanned the QR code for the menu as well as looked at the specialty holiday drinks. Our server came and told us about the happy hour specials.
We ordered the crispy brussel sprouts and salmon bites as appetizer. We decided on the holiday drinks rather than happy hour drinks. I got The Grinch and he chose The Rudolph, and waters.
For our meals I got the blackened salmon and he got the jerk salmon philly with fries.
Drinks were good, not too strong but just right. Mine had a nice minty taste because of the candy cane.
Crispy brussel sprouts were crispy even with the glaze.
Salmon bites were good, nothing extra special.
Blackened salmon was flavorful and the mashed potatoes were creamy. I was thoroughly impressed with the flavor profile and recommend.
The jerk salmon philly was a great concept, but ok. Could've used more peppers and onions.
Overall it was a nice experience with a nice holiday vibe.
Young Augustine's Sports Bar was definitely a vibeeee! The service was exceptional. We sat on the back patio which was a really relaxing atmosphere. The food was AMAZING!! We had the fried cauliflower 🔥 🔥 🔥 Salmon Bites 😋 Fried Broccoli 🥦 😋 to start out ! Everything was superb! The remix on sandwiches at this spot is impeccable and definitely worth a stop by 👍🏽‼️
Food was pretty good, but very smalll portions. I had the lamb chops w/ French toast from their brunch menu. I was turned off by the dirty silverware we received but we requested plastic after seeing that. The vibes are there though so definitely a place to visit at least once. But be weary of extra charges on your bill...
So we went for a pretty girl birthday-and we took her brother too. We enjoyed our sweet celebration there it was a Tuesday nite kinda slow but great for us cause it like we had the place to ourselves. The food was good like the salmon bites everything I thought they would be drinks tasty Birthday girl was happy with her meal also Plus our server didn’t leave us hanging at all. Will turn
The setting and location is dope, urban but unveiled from the local environment as if imagined and manifested right there. Very welcoming staff, our main waitress was Evan, a very neat and very astute woman, helping with good recommendations. Also, big shout out to Rykiel and JayCole.
The old fashion I ordered was a bit too sweet, but then I realized that there were crushed cherries on the bottom if glass, all was forgiven. I liked the extra step, the extra energy, the extra accent. Ordered salmon bites as well tasty but a little salty, with lots of flavor and dimension. Ordered a jerk salmon grilled cheese type dish. It was incredible, an experience. Rich flavors from the cheese, bell pepper and salmon, expected it to be spicy, but no complaints. It was a great sandwich period, definitely unforgettable. Thank you!
I will fondly think of their “signature burger” at random. It was that good, but I cannot articulate why. It wasn’t because I was hungry as I had already had the salmon bites and dirty tots. It might have been their “dusse bacon jam” and/or they might have toasted the buns with butter (that gets me every time). Whatever it was, I highly recommend the “signature burger”
The environment is high energy and casual. They have a full service bar and both indoor and outdoor seating.
There is a parking lot in front of the building that is $10 during peak hours, but there is plenty of free street parking in the immediate vicinity. Don’t bring your piece into the building.
The food is AMAZINGGGGGGGGG. I came here for my birthday a few months ago and so I decided to try other restaurants because this one definitely lived up to its hype…… wrong decision. The food at the other restaurant was horrible so I knew “old faithful” (Augustine’s) was gon def show up and show OWT!!!! And she did!!!! The food, drinks and atmosphere was just the same as a few months ago!!!! Don’t waste your time finding a great brunch spot. Augustine is DEFINITELY THE PLACE TO BE!!❤️
