This establishment is so great that my friend and I visited it twice in one day. The food is BANGIN' at an amazing price and the service is top notch. Our waitress, Sierra, was a total sweetheart and just made us feel so welcomed and made our visit truly memorable. If you ever have a craving for Japanese fusion cuisine, this Ru San's location is the place to be. Enjoy!
Even though it was packed, our waitress was attentive and answered any questions we had, even going to fetch a few answers from the sushi chefs themselves. The seafood nachos are incredible, but it's a small portion. I could have easily eaten 3 portions of them by myself, they were that good. They have some interesting and delicious sushi that comes beautifully plated and tastes even better than it looks.
The food was amazing. Quick service and the presentation was out of this world. So many diffrent options. I want to go back and try them all!
Clean and open atmosphere. Everyone is friendly. I went in on a Sunday afternoon there was no waiting. I ordered a giant fried spicy tuna roll, and shrimp fried rice. When you go ask for Sandy.
This location is great and is always great. Best place for beginners sushi try-ers there are a lot of options from Raw to cooked rolls. Even dollar to two dollar rolls!! So you can try just a bit to get your sushi fix and a nice little sake drink.
Ru San's was my first introduction to sushi. That was over a decade ago and I'll still go back to satiate a fried rice and sushi craving! The portions are generous; you'll want to eat more than one tepura Japanese bagel maki, but you may just not be able to. The prices are acceptable for what you get. I'm sure there are other sushi joints that offer similar styles at lower prices, but my boss's wife worded it quite nicely once:
"It's the fast food of sushi joints. Not by any means a bad thing. You just associate the chain with the style of food. You think sushi, you first think Ru San's, and for all the right reasons."
We were there during the lunch hour. Server promptly took our order and the food was delicious. I couldn't believe the amount of food we got for the price. We ordered off the lunch specials which included soup, salad and an entree.
Midtown fixture , reliably good nigiri, knowledgeable service, prompt and courteous, funky ink art by the owner. The music is 1990s gay bar, but not disagreeable.
Great place for sushi. The Buckhead location is 5 stars with a much broader menu and better prices.
I would go to the one in Buckhead.
When we went the kitchen was closing. Service was okay as we asked for more ginger which never came. They were out of sweet tea also.
Good food at a good price from friendly folks! It's so good i had to eat some before i took the picture! They are doing a great job in spite of the trump pandemic! We eat here a lot !
