barbecue here smells delicious. My son followed the tantalizing smoky smell with his nose until it let him here. He ordered the sausage dog which we were not expecting to be so large. He is 11 and was unable to finish it so that tells you just how big it really is. It comes with chow chow but I had them put it on the side being and I was pretty sure he would not eat it. I did taste it and thought it was delicious. He also order the macaroni and cheese as his side and it wasn't the best macaroni and cheese I've tasted but it wasn't the worst either. I will suggest maybe trying a different side unless you were ordering for a child. This was a combo meal for$12.99. The staff was extremely friendly and willing to assist with any questions that was asked.
Visited this restaurant for the first time last month and must say the food was delicious! Very hard to find a real BBQ places that actually smokes their food as advertised. The smoked flavor is definitely authentic. I had the baby back ribs and they literally fell off the bone, I was able to easily eat them with a plastic fork. I had both the sweet and the spicy BBQ sauce on the side and both sauces were better than most I've had. As I couldn't decide what to order when I got their employee Raymond was able to explain all the options and helped me make a great choice.
Raymond was the best, very polite and attentive. The collard greens and mac and cheese are out of this world. I dont find many BBQ places that can cook some real southern style dishes. I will definitely be going back.
Great to see them open in this fantastic space. A welcome addition to the neighborhood and the market. The service is friendly and they clearly have an in-depth knowledge and love of their product. The brisket was awesome as was the coleslaw. I just hope once the markets hits it's stride that there is enough seating for folks to enjoy the experience.
This place owes me nothing!!! The ribs were perfect and fell off the bone! The Mac and cheese was Grandma sent! The beans were melting in my mouth as I was eating them! The potato salad! The potato salad! Someone woke Aunt Emma up from the grave for this old school, most delicious, potato salad I have had since 1988!!! We have to get a take home because it was good enough for dinner!!!
Their brisket has been consistently cooked and not dry. It's hard not to appreciate a BBQ place in the south that serves up Beef and does it without drying it out. I'll need to come back for the pork ribs, but they get 4 stars on the brisket alone.
Unfortunately the 5th star is missing since the sides are lacking. Both in flavor and creativity.
On our first visit this was phenomenal BBQ brisket, tender great flavor! Need southern sweet tea though. Next to 4Rivers in Orlando and Salt Lick in Austin , this was my 3 rd best BBQ ever!
This is the perfect example of how a brisket should be cooked. Absolutely perfect. They gave me a plastic knife and fork and the worst knife possible cut through the brisket like it was jello. Not a fan of most Mac and cheese but theirs has great flavor to it.
They pulled the pork right in front of you, making one sandwich at a time. You can see the juices right as it's being sliced. It is phonominal BBQ!! The sauce is so amazing, as is the Mac 'n cheese. So far, it is the best bbq place in Atlanta and we have tried just about all of them. Do not miss this place!
Very good BBQ. Ribs were the best meat out of the 3 I tried... But the pulled pork and brisket were very good. Didn't need sauce...but the original sauce was better than the Carolina.
