Went tonight for the 1st time as recommend by a friend. I was looking for a place with great prime rib. Prime rib was great, service was great, atmosphere was great! It was a great place for my husband and I to go for 31st anniversary. We definitely will go back again!
Exceptional service in an underground speakeasy steakhouse!! Loved the quality of the steaks, tender, cooked as requested, seasoned perfectly! Highly recommend this local gem!
This is a long-time favorite in the Va-Highlands neighborhood. On a recent visit, they did not disappoint. Food and service exceeded expectations! The atmosphere is uniquely rustic and the menu matches perfectly. Burgers, steaks, and seafood are top quality and prepared expertly. Great selection of appetizers that are easily shareable. Excellent bar menu and a very lively bar crowd. Easy access from downtown and midtown hotels. Absolutely recommend the Tap.
This place is an Atlanta classic. My husband had the prime rib and completely cleaned his place. I had the pecan encrusted trout. It was huge and amazing. The mac and cheese is worth the splurge. I always have the martini with blue cheese olives. Cheers!!! Tuesday night is half price steak burger night. Totally a steal in today's world of rising prices. Crunchy onion rings are great.
I love this place. We came here this time for my birthday. Steak is my favorite dish and I live martinis, and this place has it in spades. It has a classic new American decor, lots of wood, vaguely nautical. The staff had all been there forever, which is a good indication of a great restaurant. The martini was perfect, extra dirty with blue cheese olives. The tomahawk was an extravagance for my birthday and it did not disappoint! We even took the bone home for our pup. Last was an amazing creme brulee. B all in all a great birthday dinner!
Having eaten here on a few occasions, I am always happy with the steak. Good wine selection also. Service was great.
My boyfriend and I went here for dinner because he was craving the prime rib and on Mondays they have a special deal! 😍Limited quantity those nights so RSVP before 8pm.
I had the rib and salad. (Hadn’t eaten greens for a few days.)
The taste of the beef is deeply intoxicating because of the hickory wood smoke, and little bit of salt & seasoning. Truly spectacular this is now the only way I’ll have prime rib. So good I wanted to order another on the way put sadly they ran out 15 minutes after we got our food.
The atmosphere is great here small bar area but the bartenders are quick and responsive when it comes to more than five minutes without notice.
The table seating is RSVP so highly encourage reservations. We were at the bar so we didn’t have to wait 20- 30 minutes for a table at 8pm.
My salad was fresh and good and because the prime rib slices were so good I didn’t need a dressing. Yes you read that right. No dressing.
Great drafts I had the Orpheus brewery more sour version he had the beer called ‘something city’ his was better.
4/10/23: I had a steak craving and I'm not talking million dollar steak. I just wanted medium steak even after a very filling lunch. Chanced on this restaurant online and we made reservations. I doubt you need reservations cuz it was very casual and laid back and not busy or at least when we visited. Don't quote me on the reservations. Play it safe
I had the prime rib and my friend had the burger, pictures below. The prime was heavenly. You can tell immediately that they cook with quality beef cuz it didn't need much seasoning to taste that good. It's also very affordable. Their reviews says it all but I'll definitely visit again. That's just my opinion. Go check it out and share your opnion... Also, our waiter was very attentive and walked us through the menu and recommendations.
This was the best brunch we've had in a while. The drinks, food, and service were exceptional! Highly recommend.
One of the best filets I’ve ever had! The flavor was outstanding. Cooked perfectly. Highly recommend! Also we went on a Saturday and didn’t even have to wait on a table!
One of the best steakhouses in the Atlanta area. We went on a week night, and even though it was a week night, it was packed. We ordered some dips, a variety of meat dishes, including the prime ribs, baby back ribs and other dishes. We were disappointed to find out the baby back ribs were out of stock, but the head chef of the restaurant came out personally and let us know. They even gave us a dozen oysters on the house! The creme brulee was to die for. I wish I had taken some photos but we devoured the food as soon as it came out. Amazing service from the servers and the chef, even better food, and the ambience was very cozy. I'd go back again and again! If you are in the area, this is THE place to go!
Very good center-cut steak. Pretty cool atmosphere in the cellar area.
Only sticky-widget was parking. Went there in the afternoon, so it wasn't bad, but can see it being hectic in the evenings.
Would recommend.
