I checked out this new Mediterranean restaurant and was not disappointed! Everything we had was delicious, customer service was on point and the cocktails were tasty. This is a cute, intimate place to meet up with friends or try for a new date night out.
They have brunch $28 PP on Saturday and Sunday and Happy Hour coming soon!
Street parking is available.
Check out what I had and try them out.
First time coming back after the renovation and the space is beautiful! Really cosy and inviting atmosphere, and the updated menu has lots of interesting options. I came for brunch and enjoyed the Turkish breakfast with Turkish coffee. Lots of variety with delicious cheeses, jams, olives, and bread, along with a selection of egg dishes. So nice to have a new and different brunch spot in Midtown, and I'm excited to try their lunch and dinner menus!
Best Brunch spot in Midtown! The ambience is so cozy and chill. They have a Turkish chef and the food was just phenomenal! I got the potato and eggs and nothing prepared me for how good it will be! It came with a side of fresh pita bread! Staff is incredibly nice and welcoming. Definitely one of my top spots in Midtown.
I got the rack of lamb chops. I was very nervous to eat it at first with my past experiences but it was very well seasoned and cooked just how I like it. Try the baklava and ice cream too! It’s delicious. The service, drinks, and quality was amazing!
A Taste of Turkey in the Heart of the City!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cafe Agora Midtown, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a cozy atmosphere that transported me straight to the streets of Istanbul.
Let's start with the food - oh my, what a treat! Cafe Agora Midtown offers an extensive menu of authentic Turkish dishes for both breakfast and dinner. Whether you're a fan of savory or sweet, there's something to satisfy every palate. The breakfast options are a true standout, with a wide variety of delicious pastries, cheeses, olives, and traditional Turkish breakfast spreads. I highly recommend trying the Menemen - a mouthwatering dish made with scrambled eggs, tomatoes, peppers, and spices. It's a breakfast experience like no other!
For dinner, the menu continues to impress. The kebabs are a must-try, perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. The lamb kebab was particularly tender and flavorful, while the chicken kebab was juicy and succulent. The vegetarian options are equally delightful, with dishes like the Imam Bayildi, a stuffed eggplant that is rich in flavor and melts in your mouth. And of course, no Turkish meal is complete without a cup of strong Turkish coffee or a sip of fragrant Turkish tea - both of which Cafe Agora Midtown serves to perfection.
The service at Cafe Agora Midtown is top-notch. The staff is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, always ready to offer recommendations and answer any questions you may have. They truly make you feel like a valued guest, going above and beyond to ensure your dining experience is nothing short of exceptional.
The ambiance of the restaurant is another highlight. The decor is tastefully done, with a mix of traditional Turkish elements and modern touches. The soft lighting and comfortable seating create a cozy and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed meal with friends or a romantic dinner for two.
Overall, Cafe Agora Midtown is a hidden gem in the heart of the city. The food is outstanding, the service is impeccable, and the ambiance is delightful. Whether you're a fan of Turkish cuisine or looking to try something new, this place is an absolute must-visit. I guarantee you'll leave with a satisfied palate and a desire to come back for more. Five stars all the way!
The new and improved Agora is back and better than ever and back to being my go to spot for a fresh healthy meal. I have tried the new brunch and dinner menu here this week and the food, service and cocktails are amazing. So excited to be back :)
This place is so refreshing to have in midtown!! The remodel inside looks so good!!
We started with Sigora rolls and Hummus. It was delicious and the perfect amount of food.
The drinks we had were so tasty and medium strong!
Caranova
Agora Tamarind breeze
Zing
Byzatium breeze
And our entree we shared was Shashika ( I think that's what it's called) and it was enough food for two people.
We will definitely be back and Simone our waitress was delightful and gave great suggestions!!! Ask for Simone, she's friendly and helpful!!!
We finished with Turkish coffee and it came served on this huge platter!!
This place got a major facelift. I was expecting a relatively cheap gyro platter but got a more refined meal (good, just not what I expected). Their drinks are fantastic, moussaka is good, service was a little slow.

Welcome back! We’ve missed you. Please keep some old school faves and not just be fancy. 4 star from the original; Love the new cocktails, looking forward to more food
I’ve been an Agora customer since I moved to midtown 8 years ago. After a long renovation, they are finally back open. The vibe has changed completely. Much nicer and fancier inside. They are a full service restaurant now but will still honor take out orders. The lunch menu looks similar to before. The dinner menu looks very different with different entrée choices. Note if you want gyro, they only serve that during lunch Monday thru Friday. Prices for lunch went up around 10% but still reasonable. Gyro plate with salad, rice and pita is $15. Gyro sandwich with side is $12. Lunch portions are similar to before, not sure about dinner portions. I haven’t tried dinner but I’d imagine it’s a much different experience (think full service dining like a Rumi’s Kitchen). My only suggestion is to offer the gyro sandwiches and plates during dinner service and on the weekends too. The parking is very limited so not sure how they will accommodate a large dinner service.
