SO GOOD!!! Got the carnitas quesadilla, whatever sauce they use… I could eat it with a spoon. Highly recommend!
Honestly don’t let the appearance of the deli fool you. The tacos are amazing!!! They call the crunchy tacos “quesadillas” so don’t get confused. I suggest you order in person better too. I called and the guy who answered couldn’t understand me and hung up. But really it was so good!
the most value for money and super tasty quesadillas tacos in astoria. don’t forget to taste al pastor , spicy pork and beef tongue, they came with really good salsas on the side (ask for some extra green salsa). some nights the kitchen is really busy so be patient.
From the outside looks like a regular bodega on the corner, but the food is very high in quality and flavor!
Highly recommend the quesadillas ($3.75)! They’re a little bit bigger than the size of a taco - the outside is crunchy and the bottom is layered with cheese.
We tried the following meats:
- pollo enpanizada (breaded chicken) ✅
- al pastor (marinated pork and pineapples) ✅
- tinga (shredded chicken in chipotle sauce) ✅
The sauce it comes with is bomb! I ate 3 tacos and 1 quesadilla and that filled me up!

Delicious food and very kind workers! They have a good variety of snacks and food on the deli menu. The young man at the front register overheard my friend and I talking about how we’ve never tried horchata and then proceeded to give us free samples. Can’t wait to go back!
Despite "cash only" signs, the counter guy accepted credit card which was great.
I ordered the grilled chicken, the al pastor, & the nopales (cactus) with egg. The chicken & pork was very tasty & well seasoned but a little dry (it could benefit from a crema or a sauce but all they offer is hot sauce so if you like spicy, get that hot sauce). Also, the nopales was a bit overly salty & the egg was missing!
Overall, good price & good flavors but a few missed marks keep it from a perfect 5 stars.
the breaded chicken quesadillas is the go too! always make a stop when i’m in astoria
Great service and the quesadillas are amazing. Best Mexican eats in Astoria and every time I go back it tastes the same, consistency is key!!
Absolutely delicious! I eat here at least once a week. I always get the chicken milanesa quesadilla which is incredible and very affordable.
