The food here is decent. Its presentation is good but more spices/flavors are needed. The good part is you wont leave feeling heavy or overstuffed. Just ask for hot sauce salt and pepper so you can fix your food.
The sliders were really good. Skip the fries here because they were oily almost as if they tried to refry them twice. Kale ceasar salad is fine but needs more vegetables. Customer service is great though.
Food and service was incredible! I would recommend anyone to try this place out! FYI If you are in the mood for some slammer breakfast, order the steak and eggs! You will not be disappointed! Great atmosphere and Vibes! #LINYCEATS
The smoked salmon with egg was really good! Also, the Tiramisu - YUM. The eggs Benedict was really small and my friend was disappointed by that. But overall, very relaxed atmosphere, loved the huge windows and natural lighting.
Amazing service! Waitress really knew her stuff and really helped me pick something even with my intolerances. We ordered the calamari as an appetizer and it was just perfect! I know a lot of places have calamari, but it's usually just average. I got the sea bass for dinner and it was just divine!! Wine selection waa great too, definitely going back to try their cocktails. Glad we found this gem.
HIGHLY recommend. The carbonara was unreal, as were the zeppole. A great brunch spot in Astoria that wasn’t too crowded or overpriced.

Went here for a surprise birthday party and didn't come away disappointed.
The venue had a rustic charm to it but it's not a terribly large place. Our party took up a quarter of the space. Thing got a bit tight but didn't detract from the experience.
We had a prefixed menu, with the appetizers being served family style. This was welcomed as there were more than a few options I wanted to try. Picking just a few was really hard to do. Everything sounded good on the menu.
Drinks were also very good, with the mimosas being my favorite. There was also another drink whose name I didn't hear, but it was very refreshing. I tried to find the name of it on the menu, but alas, the name still escapes me.
Overall, I was really happy I got to try out this place.
We had a great brunch today at Gastroteca. The place is full of light. It was 11 of us and everyone enjoyed the drinks and the food, which came out all at once and was very good, something lately doesn't happen in many restaurants.
Staff was very friendly and always available.

We had a Jack and Jill Shower at Gastroteca in June for our daughter and her fiancee. I can't say enough good things about our experience. The food was spectacular. The service could not have been better. The friendliness and attention from these servers went above and beyond. And the venue was perfect for this event. We were even able to project a slide show on the wall behind the bar. Everyone I dealt with was helpful from the beginning of the process to the end. We can't thank them enough for helping make this such a sweet celebration! And if you go there don't miss the gnocchi and the veal meatballs!
