My husband is from NC and loves the bbq sandwich. I have had the steak tips and the cod cakes and can highly recommend both. The brussel sprouts are awesome as is the kale salad. Highly recommend if you are in the Arlington area.

We hosted my son's wedding rehearsal dinner on Friday October 6th at The Menotomy Grill & Tavern in Arlington. The guest list included 30 adults and 4 children. We opted to have the Tavern Buffet which included, Baked Cod, Herb Roasted Chicken and the BEST Steak Tips (be sure to try the fabulous sauce they offer), along with Roasted Potatoes, Fresh Sautéed Green Beans and Rolls. I asked the event manager Tom Carroll if we could add some baked brie and fruit platter to the guests as they waited for everyone to arrive and he delivered a lovely set up that the guests really enjoyed. I opted to add linens and dropped off some centerpieces to Tom. He handled everything and the area that they had reserved for us looked great. Dessert, Coffee and Tea were included. The wait staff couldn't have been any nicer, more attentive or accommodating. Some guests were so impressed that they went back the next day for lunch! We had our concerns about how an open plan would work with other regular tavern patrons but there were absolutely no problems. We had a wonderful dinner with family and friends and we are extremely grateful to Tom and his awesome staff for making this such a memorable evening. I'm just sorry I never took pictures of the room and the food....
Great ambience & service. Food was delicious: We had the shrimp fritters & parmesan fries to start. Then I had the mussels, husband had the Greek salad with shrimp, & kiddo had the pizza. All were great. Draft beers were solid. They had jazz night, which was a nice touch. Jeff B. was our server & he was so lovely-- very attentive & conscientious!
It was loud and pretty much full capacity on a Sunday night. I went alone and my server was with me within minutes of me sitting down. I had the Go Figure cocktail which was nice, but didn't wow me. (I am content a second one, but for now, one will do.)
My salmon was a little softer in the middle than expected (it smooshed instead of flaked for the most part) but had a really crispy skin and good flavor.
Had to wait a bit for the apple crisp because they ran out of ice cream, but it was delightful and worth the wait.
Overall, perfectly serviceable and someplace I'd come again, but too loud for anything intimate and not enough variety (in my personal opinion because I'm spoiled 🤣) for me to make a regular part of my eating out schedule.
Great spot with a real fireplace. Very good food. I had a great birthday dinner out there !
Good place! We had salmon burger with sweet potato fries, chicken pot pie, fish and chips, and the blackened chicken flatbread special. All good! The "Unity of Maine" cocktail was also tasty. Friendly service!
Came from NC to visit family and went to Menotomy on a Friday evening. As walk-ins, we did not have to wait to be seated. We were waited on promptly. Took a bit of time to for my daughter to get her appetizer, but understandable as the restaurant was full and very busy. The atmosphere was nice and very family oriented. We had a 2 year old with us.. The food was good. Recommend this for couples, groups, families with children big or small.
Wow! Ate there tonight as it is next door to my hotel. The food and service (sat at the bar) were great! Had the PEI mussels which were outstanding. Even stopped the manager - who turned out to be the owner- to tell him how great everything was. I will book my next trip at the same hotel just so I can eat here.
All the waitresses were exceptional.
The music... OMG the music was something better than perfect.
The food was unbelievable.
I'm definitely going there again.
Thank you all for making my Thursday so happy.
Overall quality was good , the burger was kind of dry but the taste was good. Fish and chips was great.
